Even by judging people for throwing stones we are throwing stones, aren't we?
I love that part in the Bible. We should have more compassion.

Hey that's an easy one... Jesus already judged the woman guilty of adultery and sentenced her to die by stoning. Good thing that Pat Robertson was not there otherwise he would have been the first person to cast a stone at her. All along, the woman was terrified to death when Jesus found her guilty and condemned her to die by stoning. Luckly for her, nobody felt worth it to stone the woman and they all left her alone... Technically speaking Jesus was the only one without a sin in the group, but he didn't do it either. There is no record in the Bible of anybody stoning a woman to death because of adultery! Jesus pulled a big tease on the poor lady by having her stoned. Jesus didn't come to judge anybody, but he didn't miss this opportunity to tease at her badly.

This means that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. The woman that was caught in adultery was about to be stoned and according to the Jewish law she was to be stoned (Judgment).
But I will continue this overlooked verse, Jesus told her go and SIN NO MORE. Adulterers, Thieves, Murders, Homosexuals, Pedophilias, Whoremongers, Liars, Unforgiving Persons, etc. GO AND SIN NO MORE!!
What is the difference between Judgement, Admonishment or Rebuke? There is a difference!
Thanks and God Bless You!

During the time frame the bible was written, people were stoned to death for certain sins. This statement is to those who like to judge others without first giving a self examination to see what sin is within themselves. If you find yourself sinless, which none of us will, then you have the right to condemn someone else for being a sinner.

When Jesus wrote this, it is the only instance that is given about Jesus actually writing anything.
Now when this took place, it was not known what Jesus wrote on the sand, but the circumstances for this was when a a women who was said to have been caught in the very act of adultery was brought to Jesus to see what He would say.
This was actually a Trap set by the Pharasees to see if Jesus would revoke the Laws of Moses Condeming Adulatery as a Capital Offense and giving the Pharasees and excuse to have Him executed.
However, it has been thought by many theologians, that Jesus wrote something in the sand that Directly Convicted the pharasees of some sin that They had committed that no one else knew but God, as if it was like this.
" Let he who has not Committed this sin, cast the first stone"
Whatever Jesus Wrote in the sand was so profound that it caused the Pharasees to drop the stones and leave.
As for the interpretation of it as a reason that you cannot judge another inn accordence to what the Bible say's in refernce to "Judge Not lest ye be Judged" ?
I would ask "Should We Never Judge?"
"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment"; and "You have rightly judged."; and "Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?"; and "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves". (Jesus' Words in John 7:24; Luke 7:43, 12:57 and Matt. 23:15)
There is an extremely serious error that is being believed by the vast majority of people caught up in christian religion. This error is literally making those folks unwilling and unable to discern truth. And what is this error? It is believing that all "judgment" is wrong. If this is true, then what is to be made of Jesus' Words above? In the verses above, Jesus clearly commands people to judge, commends people for judging, and judges himself.
The key point to understand is that not all judgment is wrong, just various types of judgment. The types of judgment that are wrong according to Jesus are condemnation, as well as hypocritical and self-righteous judgment. On the other hand, right judgment is commended by Jesus as we see above. Right judgment includes the judging of truth versus falsehood. The sincere, serious and sober judgment of our own sins, as well as the gentle, and compassionate judgment and correction of other's beliefs or sins.

God is against the miss use of law.
God did allow people to be stoned for adultery.
But these people who brought the woman to Jesus where not interested in doing the law of God.
They said that they caught the women in the very act, so where was the man? (why did they let him go?)
God wanted mercy, not judgment. The mob did not want mercy but wanted to lay a trap.
Jesus spoke with authority, so that every one in the mob was convicted of their own sins, and so left.

If the woman was caught in the act of adultery, then where was the man that she was sinning with? The applicable law called to punishment them both, not only the woman. Jesus found no justice in them.
In this verse he confronted them with their own consience and they flee. Then, He assumed the place of judge and give her pardon with the advise to stop sinning.

Let he who has done nothing of this sort of sin cast the punishment.
Meaning, who ever has never done the sin before, feeling no remorse, decide the punishment.

no one was without sin, therefore no one could cast the first stone on the whore the townspeople were about to stone to death. So basically don't be a hypocrite.
