Honey... we're in 2007. Not 1965. China in the 60's STILL use money, believe it or not, not to mention the fact that it's been over 30 years since the Communist revolution ended. I recommend reading the news sometimes to realize that China is now a MODERN society, despite the huge gap between rural and urban areas. Money exists there, and it's being used every day in the shape of pink bills printed with Chairman Mao's head.
The exchange rate is about 7.6 yuan to 1 US dollars, and rising every day.

I dont know where you got this information from or if you just made it up but its ALL a bunch of BS. Why dont you try educating yourself instead of asking a question like this and showing everyone how ignorant you are about China and I would assume other countries in general.
This doesnt deserve an answer that addresses all the silly things you have said.

Yeah, and your description of China is not quite true. It is not really a communist state, there is a large and growing private sector in China. A lot of people can buy and sell things as they want and choose what they have. So yeah, they do use money.

"When Europe was still in the "Dark Ages" and America was un-heard of,the emperor of China began to issue paper "value tokens" for general use around 650 AD. As Marco Polo reported enthusiastically in 1275, "I tell you that people are glad to take these tokens, because wherever they go in the empire of the great Khan, they can use them to buy and sell as if they were pure gold".
Europeans had to wait until the 17th century when Sweden took the lead in issuing paper currency. Other countries gradually followed the Swedish example.
