Funny you should ask because I will be having a funny dinner. I intend to have a bit of quiche, a salmon sandwich in a wholemeal roll and a green salad. Tomorrow night I am taking my partner for a nice meal at a great Italian restaurant in Leeds. It is to celebrate my cost of living pay rise, backdated to 1st April 07, yippee!

It's date night with my hubby.....so we'll go out somewhere so I don't have to cook. But yesterday I made a recipe from copykat.com and it was called "To Die For Pot Roast" and it was great. It's one roast in the crock pot with 1 pack ranch dressing mix, 1 pack italian dressing mix and 1 pack brown gravy mix. Add a cup of water and slow cook all day. It was great. I made a gravy from the sauce and homemade mashed potatoes and some corn to go with it. It was delicious. It's getting cold here and it was nice comfort food! I'm eating leftovers for lunch today!

I found a good slow cooker recipe called: apples and onions slow cooked chicken... quick fix meals made it and i found it on the food network website so i decided to try it and is smells wonderful... I also made my 1-2-3 cobbler and it was super easy, i took 3 cans of peach pie filling and spread it in a pan, i put one box of dry yellow cake mix in a bowl and added about 2 tsp of cinnamon to it and sprinkled it on top of the pie filling and melted one stick of margarine and drizzled it on top of the cake mix and baked it off for 45 minutes at 325 and it smells wonderful and looks so good. with the chicken i am making rice and peas, and corn tonite and i hope it tastes as good as it smells...

Nice rare rump steak with garlic butter and Hot English mustard. Served with a salad with all the goodies in it [yellow- & red pepper, onion, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, olives, lettuce, chopped chilli, crushed pecan nuts and button mushrooms], as well as a baked potato with butter, black pepper & grated cheddar. And a glass of red wine of course [or a bottle!] :)
Yummy!
