Is there some autoexec file or coding that I can use to make my home videos run whenever they are put into a PC or DVD player. The fromat is .avi. I would like to make movies of my video clips I make and give them away to friends and family as gifts. Who wants something that you have difficulty with finding out whats on it. I need information on how home videos are autoexecuted without assistance.

the autorun file only executes a program on the disc, so you will need to include a program

This introduces a new problem, that is they may not have to codec to decode the movie, so it may be best to put it in mpeg file.

Sometimes you can only use notepad. But when using notepad you should have skills. the easiest way is to download a program that makes a autorun you can get one free here: http://www.mach5.com/products/autorun/index.php
