My crazy kitten has a habit of jumping in the shower when I am in there, then she gets stuck and can't get back out, so I have to pick her up and put her out of the shower. Sometimes she ends up with a little bit of soap/shampoo on her fur, but not a lot, just a few spots. I know you aren't supposed to wash cats/kittens with human soap and shampoo since it dries out their skin.... as long as it doesn't seem to bother her, should she be ok?

Her litter box is in the bathroom, which is why I don't lock her out!

I think if it's a little bit it will probably be okay. If you're worried about it, maybe you could move her litter box so she doesn't come in anymore.

She'll probably be all right, since the shampoo is so diluted by all the water that's coming down.

I once read an anecdote about a cat who loved water, and once even jumped in a tub full of bubble bath with the lady who was taking care of him!

Na it's not harmful . just make sure it doesn't get in his or her eyes. Also make sure you don't make it everyday habit; cats don't need that many showers they clean themselves exceptionally well.

Take my cat a shampoo with herbal essence a bunch of times, took him a shampoo when he was kitten too. Those were the days (<_>)

Scratch that lol she will be ok.

I feel stupid

She should be ok. That is very funny though! My cat likes to stick his paws down in the water while I am in the shower and try to catch the bubbles going down the drain, he usually falls in....

I don't think it will matter. We when I was growing up over 50 years ago used to wash all of our pets with Ivory soap or whatever was available, dish soap, etc.

Don't worry about it, she'll be okay :)

I've had my cats do that a lot of times. Just getting atttention.

you could just wipe out those spots with clean towel and water and she should be okay

It shouldn't affect her. I wouldn't douse her in it, but a small amount is nothing to worry about.
