it was surprisingly unbiased....i thought it would be a evangelical basher when i rented it...but it was just a very true to life look at the evangelical christians.....it was no different than what i have seen going to many churches around where i live......i wish that christians were more focused on being christlike than being a political monster....i couldn't believe the part about the mother teaching the kid that global warming is made up......how horrible....and the part with the pastor from new life church...what a picture of the church's hypocrisy.....

I've only seen the previews - and they were really scary.

Hey - I've been looking for a scary movie for Halloween - maybe I should watch Jesus Camp!!

Seriously - religion is a very personal thing. I am always saddened when parents force their religion on their children. The kids in this movie seem to have that happening to them - big time. It's so unfair.

I believe we should teach our children virtues - morals - values - AND teach them about the many religions they may choose to use in their lives. Then - when they are mature enough to make a choice - they will.

By my way of thinking (God is LOVE - and we can use It to be good people) - even if they choose Atheism it's okay. They will be good, kind people.

I think the Christian religion is based on fear - and the people sending their kids to this camp are scared that their kids will die and go to hell because they haven't accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. I think they believe that putting them in a brainwashing camp (although they certainly do not view it as such) will put that fear to rest. Sadly - they truly believe it's the best thing for their children.

Namaste!

Yes I did and it made me sick to my stomach!! I feel so sorry for those children to grow up that way and have a 'teacher' like that woman!

Those children have been brainwashed almost to the point of no return, and if they don't' get help soon there going to turn into just as much as a nut case as the 'teacher'.

They are acting this way to get the 'teachers' attention and praise because it makes them feel good. Gimmie a break when the little girl walks up to the girl in the bowling out and tells her shes on 'gods' mind?!! WHAT?! You're seriously kidding me right?! Just another way to get praise and feel good about herself from the 'teachers'! Oh you did so well soandso, that is wonderful of you soandso, I'm so proud of you soandso!

And since when is a bottle of Nestle Water gods water?

The crazy little girl says 'god' isn't in every church? He only likes to go to the fun ones where they sing? Hummm..... do I have to say anything here really?

I could go on all day about the problems in this video and how bad I really do feel for these children that they are going to grow up just like the 'adults' that are they. It makes me deeply upset!

If people would take a step back and really look at this video and what mental states these children go thur this camp would be banned!!

Yes I rented it and watched it because of all the neg. stuff said about it. I didn't see to much wrong with most of it , except that different denominations worship in their own way and these kids were taught that only their church had it right. I did not like how they were pushing Political Views on the children and when they brought out that cut out of George Bush and having the children touching his feet and praying for him & acting as though Bush were almost Jesus by telling the children who great of a man President Bush was made me very upset. They were brainwashing the children into believing in war and the Republican party. Hey! This was Jesus Camp and they should have kept politics out of it! And kept it all about Jesus!

Unfortunately Fundamentalism has taken Jesus and made an industry out of Him,Jesus cannot be bought and sold like some cheap package deal,it seems that the money changers are still at it in the temples.

Yes. Remember this is more of a strange charismatic/pentacostal thing...not normal, biblical Christianity.
I worked at a Christian camp for several years and although we do tell people about Jesus, salvation, sin, we never ever pressure them to make commitments. In fact, I don't pressure my own kids.
Our camp, though we love Jesus & his word, is vastly different.
People have a choice.

If it's the same on that I saw (just a few clips), I didn't care for it. I've gone to Christian camps when I was a kid and they were wonderful! There's no brainwashing going on!!! That's just political hype from people who do not know God and don't want too. All the camps that I went to taught us to love one another, have fellowship with one another, accept others, serve others........ all very positive. It was a great place to 'learn to grow up' and become a productive, sensitive, caring human being.

I found this documentary disturbing, but I would say that it should be watched by everyone. There are many in main-stream society that are unaware of such extreme fundementalism and this is an eye-opener.

Looked an awful lot like a madrassa. As much as I think I should be horrified, I could not help but laugh.

I think it was interesting, i think everything was on except for the talking in tounges, that to me is sad because as i read we are to only talk in tounges with 2 interpreters and in the old days the talking in tounges was speaking in a foreign language.
