You'll fill out a form 1040, a schedule C-EZ and a schedule SE. On the schedule C-EZ you'll show the income, and any associated expenses. The number from the bottom of that will go on the schedule SE to calculate self-employment tax which is social security and medicare. Then the numbers from the bottom of both schedules will go on the 1040 to calculate your total tax.

Judy is right procedurally. However, I do not think that the IRS would consider money that you are paid to babysit your own child to be earned income. Instead, I think that they would consider any money that one parent pays the other parent to be a veiled form of child support or alimony being disguised as babysitting fees for tax purposes. If you were babysitting someone else's child, then I would agree with Judy's answer.
