According to research on heredity and evolution, a totally different organism must have come and later evolved into a hen, so obviously the egg came first, and there was a variation in the 'genes' in the egg that gave rise to the hen.

whetehr you believe in God or that we came from monkeys...the answer has to be chicken as either God created Adam, Eve, and Adam named all the animals (hence Chicken before Egg) or the evolution theory that a single organism morphed into different creatures to adapt and survive (hence it forming a chicken first then an egg).

Well, my theory is that the 'Chicken' came first.... because where would the Egg come from - because somethings got to lay it.
It may have not been a chicken at the time, but a modified creature which had evolved into a chicken at the time and gave it it's distinct look.
That is my theory anyway. =D

Egg came first and chicken followed five hours later. I had omelet in my breakfast and chicken curry during lunch.

no one in this world have the correct answer.if you think it's egg first(because without egg,there won't be chickens in this world).but if it is really egg came first,may i know who made the eggs? REMEMBER that in order to have eggs,a male and a female chicken must be present.BUT,since we think that eggs came first,there cannot be any chickens.so eggs did not came first.so lets say it's chicken first.BUT,how did the chickens came to this world?it's impossible.AND,if it was really chicken first,egg grow up to be the chicken.then it should be egg first.
SO,there is not answer to this question.EITHER one of them is wrong.
just think logically.if it's egg first,in order to have a egg,there must be chickens(making love) to lay eggs.so it's not eggs first.but if it's chicken,egg grow up to be chicken.so chicken did not came first.ANYONE WHO SAY THAT IT'S EGG OR CHICKEN FIRST IS LYING.

It depends how you say it. Technicly it was the chicken becase god put them on earht then they laid eggs.
