Although why any gay or lesbian person would want to be part of the hostile Christian church is hard for me to understand.

Loion of Judah: I think what you are trying to say is that homosexuality is just like any other sin except that it isn't a sin at all.

There are those who like to say that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality. Various verses are cited (out of context) and the verses that people use to show that homosexuality is wrong are explained away. The world wants to change God's words and meanings into something more suitable to its sinful desires. Nevertheless, the truth stands: The Bible condemns homosexuality as a sin. Let's look at what it says.

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"

1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."

Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. It goes against the created order of God. He created Adam and then made a woman. This is what God has ordained and it is what is right. Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a severe judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: They are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:18ff). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. Without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance and trusting in Jesus. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation.

What should be the Christian's Response to the Homosexual?

Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean that we cannot love him (or her) or pray for him (her). Homosexuality is a sin and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible. It needs to be laid at the cross, repented of, and never done again.
As a Christian, you should pray for the salvation of the homosexual the same you would any other person in sin. The homosexual is still made in the image of God -- even though he is in grave sin. Therefore, you should show him same dignity as anyone else you come in contact with. However, this does not mean that you are to approve of their sin. Don't compromise your witness for a socially acceptable opinion that is void of godliness.

Now in response to the prayer I say this from the scriptures.

Psa 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear [me]:

i'm appalled on the abysmal lack of expertise i've got seen in maximum of those solutions. would not absolutely everyone make any attempt to overview something? before everything, very almost all psychiatrist as we communicate comprehend that sexual orientation (gay or immediately) is a classic area of a individual. it is not something to be cured. that's a classic area of the variety of human creation. next -- a individual would not develop into gay because of the fact of unusual lust or something like that. I LOVE THIS QUESTION!!

here is my answer......

first of all i am a born again christian.. however, i struggle.. or should i say HAVE struggled with homosexuality... everyone is born with original sin.. i was born with an attraction to other woman.. something that i could not help.. i was raised a christian and very into my faith.. so i did not and would never have chosen to be attracted to other woman.. I WAS BORN WITH IT! ok so i like the first response which was that being gay is not the sin but acting on it is.... lust is sin.. sex before marriage is sin.. gay or not.. now since God created marriage, he is the only one who can set the law for it.. which is that it is to be between a man and a woman.. people can not control who they are attracted to but they can control acting upon it... i will say this though.. God can do ALL and when i stepped off track for a while, i was in a relationship with another woman... i prayed so much that he would allow me to be attracted to a man so that i could marry, have sex, and not be sinning... after a lot of prayer, he sent me an "angel"... my fiance... the greatest man i have ever known.. and guess what.. i am sexually attracted to him.. and i cant wait to marry him and start a family with him!

so in conclusion.. here are a few points:

1. homosexuality is NOT a choice
2. the sin is the lust and sex before marriage
3. God made marriage so it goes by His law.. man and woman
4. God can do all and can relieve you of your attraction to the same sex if you ask
5. God loves ALL
6. as christians, we are to hate the sin, but LOVE THE SINNER! so NO judging!!!!!!!

Homosexuality is a sin in all religions ,
Adultery in every way is also a sin , but why all christian societies accepts other sins as normal practices and picky to other certain sins.
When will they really comply with Jesus Christ real teachings ?? I wonder .

It reminds me of the International of the comunists, a big load of hypocrisy. They say that they want to be christians, but keep doing a sinful behavior. It doesn't fit.
The saints had to abandon many things, like riches and other wordly things
The rules apply not only to gays, but also to people who have sex outside of marriage
Hey, buster, as people say here. Homosexual tendencies are not a sin, but if you choose to follow them, then it is a sin.
That is your choice, and if you do it, it is a sin

Gay is an action that is directly opposed to what God teaches.
Therefore, someone who is willfully defiant of what God teaches (regardless of the action) is not a saved person, although they may be a "Christian" by religion.
If you want verses for this, from the New Testament, email me.

No, homosexuality is sin, plain and simple. I have a personal account of a very close friend of mine, who cleansed herself of her flithy desires...

During my fiancee's first year in college, she was roomed with a very shy and quiet girl who kept to herself most of the time. Yet as a couple months passed, my girlfriend noticed her roommate was struggling with herself a lot, being depressed and downright strange. So they had a talk, and long story short they got to be very good friends afterwards, and so much so that in time the roommate revealed that she has struggled with homosexual desires since a very young age, after being sexually traumatized by a man as a child. The victim of pedophilia... and evidently that man passed on to this young girl some of his demons of lust and sexual deviancy. Over the course of a couple months, my girlfriend slowly introduced her to the Bible and how Jesus' love for everyone can forgive sin and heal even the deepest of wounds. And through extensive prayer by herself and her closest friends, this cocoon of a girl bloomed into a social butterfly, dated a couple of guys and eventually landed a serious boyfriend, and I believe they are planning engagement very soon.

Amen, Lord, Amen!

What do I say?

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 -- 9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor HOMOSEXUAL offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

I say that no man-made laws, poems, slogans, or anything else can change or supersede what God's word says.

I say "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Leviticus 20:13 You can pray what you want, it is still an abomination in the sight of God.
