The law can be summed up in these two sentences-
Love God. Love people.
-the law, according to Paul, is a mirror to show us our sin, rather than a set of rules to be followed. It shows us A) man I am not perfect & am guilty, B) I need salvation.

More than any of the commandments, I think the most important law for ALL of us (regardless of religion, or lack thereof) is the Golden Rule.
Certainly it can not solve all the world's problems, and there are undoubtedly more complex moral issues than the GR could solve, but just stop and think for a minute - how much better would the world would be if everyone obeyed it?

There is not one of the ten that is all encompassing. There is however a command that is. It's the last verse of Matthew 5. To this date only Jesus Christ has ever lived it... IHS Jim

There is 10 Commandments but the one commandment that Jesus taught "Love your neighbor as yourself" cancel all the 10 commandments.
For if you love your neighbor you will not brake a single commandment.
Honor your father and mother is the only commandment with a promise

In the new testament there is a verse that incompasses them all. John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
This one is the one I go with.

The first one, You shall love the Lord, your God with all your heart, There shall be no other gods before you.
Every time we sin, we are idolizing the sin rather than God. We are putting ourselves first, before God, and God should always be first. In all reality, this commandment sums up all the others.

I think the first one pretty much sums up the religious excuse for a morality (and it is also the most important one since Christians regularly violate the others (including the ones about murder, theft and lying) to fulfil it).

Keeping of laws and commandments can't save anyway. The only way to be saved is to believe that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins on the cross and rose again.

Jesus said that if you love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind and love thy neighbor as yourself then you have fulfilled the entire law.
