Lev 19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

Sure. There is nothing wrong with tattoos by themselves ...the verse you refer to is in reference to the pagan practice of those who would mark their bodies for their dead loved ones in a effort to gain the favor of the pagan gods.

So, since you'd be marking your body with a reference to a command that is for God and against pagan god worship...I would think it would be a good tattoo. If that's really what you want.

Isn't it a sin to mark your body? So all those Christians who have their ears pierced, defiled their bodies in the eyes of God......It's okay do want you want.....just ask for forgiveness and it all goes away!
