This is not what any "god" thinks likes or hates. This is what someone wants people to think god thinks or wants. Nobody knows or has even known what "god" (if such a thing exists in any form we can understand) is or wants they just make it up to suit themselves or the situation. There is only one moral rule to follow and that is difficult enough and that this DO NO HARM.

While some bits are banned in the commandments (or at least one of the versions), many of the more restrictive rules come from the lkes of Leviticus.
Personally, I'm not a christian, so I prefer to look at Leviticus as more of a social commentary illustrating the social mores of the time. I find it difficult to reconcile instructions to stone to death people for certain actions when this is in direct violation of the commandments, so treating the writings of Leviticus as also being direct instructions from God is an issue as far as I am concerned.
If you accept the writings of Leviticus as only representing the social and moral climate of the times, then a lot more is acceptable. Just don't steal or sleep with anothers partner or the like.
Since my conception of divinity comes from a more pagan perspective, much of that harmless fun is natural and good, and part of the healthy celebration of life.
Blessed Be!

Well, dear one, God, who took on the limitations of man and came to earth as Baby Jesus, lived and walked on the earth for 33 years. Jesus spent three of those years preaching and teaching all who would listen. These people heard the 'mind of God'.... straight from God's mouth.
Some of these people, the disciples, wrote Jesus' teachings down and you can read them in the New Testament of the Holy Bible. If you read that, you will learn that such actions are not really as harmless as you might believe. Remember one thing, my friend, God doesn't try to ruin your fun, He tries to warn you of 'bad choices' so you won't hurt yourself or others. He loves you. Just look at all the unwanted babies that are born or aborted (murder) because there are those who want to have 'a fun sex weekend', look at all the young girls that are abused by boys and men who 'use' girls for their sexual satisfaction. How do you think these actions leave these young women? (Used and abused...sad). Have you ever watched one that drinks their weekend away? What fun is it to see a good looking yourth with beautiful potential, lying drunk on the floor, or pushing himself or herself upon another individual, or fighting, or worst still, wrapped around a tree in their car? What fun is it to go to their funeral? to see their parents cry... God, through his teaching, tries to educate you and me and others of how there is more to life than playing in the negative.... Harmless fun is great - but sex, drinking, and drugs, is not. If you doubt what I'm saying, sit down and watch the news any evening of the week, and tell me those kids or young adults wouldn't wish they had made a different 'choice'......if they could.... but now their dead.
You have to come to terms with what is harmless and what is not. If you can't put yourself in these scenes, then put your little brother or sister, or big brother or sister in it........ Is it 'worth' believing all 'these choices' are harmless? Does your family and friends mean so little to you that 'harmless fun' is more important than their very lives? Who knows the mind of God, you ask? Many of us do, my friend. And you can know also, if you just seek the truth. I pray you do before it's too late. You have only one life. Give it some thought. And if you have someone who means a lot to you, let them read this too, you might save a life.

Since the Law of Christ (Galatians 6:2) mandates a supreme love for God and a love for our neighbour that is equal to the consideration that we ought to give to ourselves, then gambling violates the Law of Love because it only allows or enables the gain of one party at the expense of another.
Also, Proverbs 28:22 says
He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
Adultery is wrong — Exodus 20:14
• Sex with a prostitute is wrong — 1 Corinthians 6:15-17
• Impurity is wrong — Colossians 3:5-7
With verses such as these, do you honestly think that God would make an exception for premarital sex? Is sex outside of marriage something He considers pure and moral? Of course He doesn’t.

Is having sex just harmless fun when sexual diseases are caught? Fatherless children are born: Countless tiny children killed by abortion(which some in our society find acceptable), People are being harmed by taking "The contraceptive pill" and the "Lethal Morning after Pill"(to the conceived child that is)
Harmless? No
Drinking: I'm a recovering alcoholic-you should hear the stories of how alcohol abuse affects families.
God doesn't want to spoil our fun. He just wants us to live the best way for us and our family and friends.
Gambling: Easy to get addicted to that too. I used to see wives coming to my place of work on payday so that their card playing husbands would give them housekeeping before losing it all in the card school in the snooker room.

He doesn't hate harmless fun, but one night stands etc lead to people getting hurt and nasty diseases being spread. Hence, sex within marriage is what he commands because it's between two people who love each other and are comittted for a life time to each other.
It actually encourages drinking in the Bible, but condemns drunkardness. Jsut not a way a Christian should live.

Your conscience will tell you what is right and wrong when you are ready to listen to it. That is why God gave you the conscience in the first place - as a safeguard against sin.
Your fun -- let's see - sex outside of marriage can easily end up in broken marriages, unwed mothers, unwanted children, abortion, disease, etc. Drunkenness - DDTs, crashing a car while drunk and killing someone, suicides under the influence of drink, drunken parents coming home and beating their children, wasted money, wasted lives, etc. Lottery - one in about 15 million chance of winning, addiction to gambling, many homes doing without essentials because one of the parents is addicted and spends money that is intended for food or rent and etc. on lottery tickets and other forms of gambling, false hope of instant riches, suffering wives and children because the husband is away from home and bitter about losing, etc.
God's laws are to protect us from our own ignorance and tendency toward self-destruction. In addition to your own conscience the Bible is God's way of telling us how to live.

i think of that our concepts of hate so a techniques as God is in contact are way off. it seems there's a great paradox: God hates sin. God hates sinners-or there may be no such factor as hell-eternal torment. God sent His Son to die (be murdered) on the bypass for my sin and absolutely everyone else's. If God does have appreciate as to categories of sin as defined in the bible i'm no longer geared up to communicate that. considering that i'm a sinner in simple terms as a gay is that's no longer uncomplicated to look down my nostril at them understanding that that's in simple terms via Gods grace that i'm saved. some sinners would be saved many would be misplaced. essentially, Q.

There's that old saying related to charities, throw some money up in the air, whatever God wants he can take.
Of course, God doesn't seem to ever take anything in this way, which seems to indicate that God either doesn't care, or isn't around to care.
In either case, in the face of such obvious neglect, why do some people get so worked up over pleasuring themselves? Some people have gone to their graves without ever knowing certain carnal pleasures, all because the (mis)interpreted words of scripture tell them this is sin and utterly wrong.
It doesn't matter that physically we might feel pleasure by doing such, doesn't matter that our "hardware" seems to be hardwired to let us feel pleasurable stimuli provided by sex, drugs and rock 'n roll, but apparently it's wrong to use these "God-given" perceptive abilities inherent to our bodies.

I love the fact that people can quote Bible and not think about what they are reading or quoting.
Bible is a guideline, not from GOD, but from apostils and their adversaries.
You are given a choice in life, and the chose is yours to make! If you believe that bit of fun, sex and playing some lottery will not hurt anybody, than this is no sin. Sin is to over-do it, in every sense.
I believe in sex before marriage and my every-now and then glass of red wine! Will I go to hell because of that? Nope.
But if I chose the path and lie, deceive, steal, tempt a married man to have sex with me, kill, gluttony, pride…oh “hell yeah” I will then burn in the eternal flames of damnation.
So the choice is yours, dating + fun + maybe sex = heaven or rgies + drugs + Hurting your love ones=hell!!!?
Heaving said this, I do respect people who commit their entire life on following the word of lord, fasting and going to church every Sunday.
