Call in, say you fell down, banged your head and you don't know who you are anymore. Tell them you feel sure that it is passing amnesia, and will be gone by your next shift. Oh, if they ask, say someone gave you this number and told you to call, but you don't know who that person is. They say there your mother/partner/roommate (delete as applicable), but you don't remember so will just have to take their word for it. :)

I get through each day by not thinking about how long my shift is or how hard it's gonna be. I think about how long till my first break then second, third and home.
Break the day down into small chunks that don't seem so bad.
If that doesn't work make sure you have your favourite alcoholic drink chillin' in the fridge for when you get home.
Have a good one.

Just take a deep breath, have a good healthy meal and then think of the money you're going to earn, it always motivates me, its what gets me up at 8am on a sunday morning. I hate my job because our clothes department is massive and we are shortstaffed a lot and thats not helpful in a supermarket but working harder makes time fly by.

Take some Pro Plus (tablets) they will get you moving. My daughter uses them for night shifts. I've used them and they do work.

We all have days like that where you don't feel like working but, on flip side of the coin, at least you have a job and are not unemployed.

Dont go, if you dont like your job you should look for a new one, you cant put your all into some thing and be good at it if you dont like it and have no passion for it. May be your ready for a career change.
