1. can't trust a politician
2. philosopher would not give clear proof
3. sociologist would have no reason to disprove and would only be interested in why society decided to disbelieve
4. Science cannot prove or disprove anything to those who's eyes and ears are closed to truth (such as religious people's are)
5. A religious scholar would never admit to being wrong
6. a psychiatrist studies the mind, emotion, and human nature.... and has no need for scientific evidence which proves or disproves religion
7. Other.... no. Religion will never be discredited. Although it should be. Unfortunately, even if all current religions ceased to exist, a new one would emerge. There's money and power in it.

Other. Most religion is patently absurd already, but people will cling to it, probably forever, to add meaning to their lives. In a few hundred years, the world will either have factioned entirely, or come together as a single society. In the second scenario, news will be largely universal so we will all be turning to the same sources. Then, some investigative reporter with nothing else to do will put together thousands of years of doctrine into a single document, showing every single contradiction in every faith, and ultimately nullifying them all. Pity. A little magic in the world helps people sleep at night. I personally find the universe amazing enough without the mumbo-jumbo, but I don't judge those that need to believe in something else.

Islam isn't the most extensively usual faith contained in the international. the position ever did you discover such fake concepts? If something that is starting to be a lot less usual, because the West learns of that is teachings. Why do you imagine Islamics grow to be so enraged at the same time as someone speaks up? they do no longer want the reality to verify the gentle of day. easily, Islam isn't even a faith, that is a political ideology. extra more suitable, at the same time as they pass by technique of the hits on Islamic expertise web pages and the sales appropriate to Qurans, (which some do) those figures do no longer all reflect conversion numbers. They in basic terms instruct the usual interest on the topic of Islam submit 9/11. instruct me tolerance in Islam. instruct me the tolerance shown in route of Christians as they are persecuted contained in the call of Islam. "would Allah Bless you All, Peace be upon you" thanks yet no thanks. I desire free will. I desire freedom of religion. I desire the twenty first century. I desire equality between the sexes.

Wildly hypothetical questions do have a way of showing up around here, don't they?
For no reason except my own personal prejudices, I'd go with 4, a scientist. Politicians, philosophers, and religious scholars rarely accomplish anything. I can't see how sociology would have any bearing on the situation, and the psychiatrist would be immediately contradicted by at least three other psychiatrists, and they'd spend the next several years happily stabbing each other in the back.

I doubt this would ever be widely accepted, or be up to one (type of) person, but for argument's sake, I'd have to go with a religious scholar, followers wouldn't believe anyone else. That being said, religious scholars have discredited belief in God(s) in the past, and religion still survives.

None of the above. The existence of God cannot be proven, neither can it be disproven. Discredit is a notion for the collective to employ. To the individual true believer, it matters not what others think. Faith is a personal initiative.

I think it's already happened but there is a time lag, some people just haven't realised religion is dead and buried yet.
