Im not trying to be harsh, but these things happen. Just let her go.

The vet is right at one point.... there is not much they can do for a little little kitten because most medications should not be given to such young kittens. Did he give the kitten fluids under the skin though? This may help. Does the kitten seem kinda pudgy in the tummy area although it is not eating? This may mean he is infested with worms. 5 weeks is old enough to deworm a kitten. I would suggest talking to your vet about deworming all the other kittens. If there are sign of worms in the stool after the healthy kittens are dewormed, it just probably means that the other kitten is also struggling for the same reason. It is very difficult to feed a kitten that does not want to eat. But keep trying. Even a little bit helps.

GOOD LUCK!

I'm honestly surprised he didn't give you any liquid antibotics. I would see about taking the kitten back in or too another vet. Force feeding is difficult because you feel you are choking the kitten but with a very small syringe like 3cc you just slowly administer milk on the back of the tounge and wait until it swallows. It sounds so weird cause I know my vet would take the kitten and tube feed it. Its very hard to feed a kitten after its been nursing for so long but it can be done. I wish you the best of the luck and I hope you can save her!!!

Thats not true that vets won't give medication to a young kitten. My 3 week old kitten that I bottle fed was emaciated and dying when I found him and he was put on liquid antibotics.

Poor little thing, very sad.
It's not unusual for a kit out of the litter not to thrive. Did the vet check to make sure she didn't have a clef palate? There is a reason she is not eating. Something may be physically wrong.

If there’s NO chance of survival, the kindest thing you can do is have her euthanasized, I’m sorry to say. It’s better than letting her starve to death slowly. Don’t let her suffer!

Are you bottle feeding kitten formula?

I hope you get your cat spayed after the kittens are weaned – continues litters are very unhealthy for your cat.

Good luck and I hope your baby survives.

Some kittens just die and, unfortunately, sometimes there is nothing you can do about it. I've lived with cats my entire life, and I had to put one down after it got out and got hit by a car. It was very hard, but this cat would have suffered horribly. Save your kitten, if you can; but if it gets to the point where the kitten is suffering too much you should consider just letting it go.

Good luck, and God bless.

My little cat was the same way when we got her. The person we got her from gave us her alittle young (2 weeks) We had to feed her every four hours kitten milk through a dropper. She didn't like it too much and it was hard. The vet also gave us liqiud vitamens which helped alot.

unfortunately kitten has very weak immune system and with the fact she has many siblings as well, chances are she just didn't get enough nutrient.

i have experienced about 5 births and usually one or two of the kitty will die with no good reason. it is just nature that the stronger one will survive and continue to live. i always cried when the kitten died but sometimes some kitten just have lower immune system compared to the siblings. i just have to accept that.

so do you.

i'm so sorry if anything happen to her.

wish you all the best. who knows miracle will happen.

however, if she dies, please don't be too sad because she will end up in heaven and remember you.

Aw sweetheart you can only do what you're already doing. Keep her warm and try to make her eat. Buy one of those tube things, fill it with milk and open her mouth and squirt it down her throat... That's the only thing I can think of. I hope it works out, but if it doesn't... it's not your fault. These things just happen sometimes.
