I have a 2004 Titan. It just got out of the shop b/c the rear differential and transfer case had to be replaced. However, my truck is not 4wd, so there shouldn't be a transfer case right? Or is there? I think the service lady just called it a transfer case on accident and meant something else.

No you don't have a transfer case. The driveshaft hooks straight to the end of the transmission if it's a 2wd truck.
