After we die. Can we become Gods. Just like the only one and true God. Is the deification process possible? Or is it just another Lie Told by Joseph Smith to add extra incentive on joining his church.
Im actually curious about this one. Intelligent answers only please.

I don't think so.

There was only supposed to be one God

Last person who tried to get that kind of promotion was Lucifer, and you see where that got him

No Kevin we can never be God`s because we are and alway`s will be created beings and not creators,we do have the ability to pro-create but even this is only because God endowed the human race with this gift.,Divinity is not our natural state and the same applies to the Heavenly Angels, and even when all things are renewed after the final judgement and we are like Christ we will still only be human and not God or God`s.
The heresy of Humanism has spread this error in the world that man can be like God in all things and it was the fall of Satan and also our first parents too,Joseph Smith it can be said suffered from this delusion of Humanism.

Well, its prolly the first lie ever told..."you will not surely die (eternal life) and be as gods..." So yeah, There is only One True God.

The angel Moron(i)

From Gk. (Attic) moron, neut. of moros "foolish, dull" (probably cognate with Skt. murah "idiotic;" or Latin morus meaning "foolish" is a loan-word from Gk.).

Joseph Smith obviously didn't have much by way of etymological study when he pulled this name out of thin air just as he did all the names of the various books of Mormon (very close to the term mammon). Most of what he came up with was a rip off of Egyptian mythology. Crazy eh? Even so he got it so wrong. Then he wrote everything in 16th century kings English cuz he was too stupid to realize that this would be proof he was plagiarizing the Bible. Love in Christ, ~J~

Christians generally believe that only the Trinity is God.

The old testament in the story of the tower of Babel, talks of gods or angels being concerned that man might equal or surpass them. This might suggest that humans can become godlike.

Other philosophies suggest that everyone and everything is God, and that our ideas of separate individualism is illusory In such a model you might be God dreaming that you are mortal.

My idea is that whatever we are or are able to become if we believe in we are here for a good purpose we should just be happy to be ourselves. If God created us we must be valuable so I don't care whether I am a god or not,

Joseph Smith was a false prophet. The Bible warns about them. It says, "If a someone prophesies in my name and that prophecy does not come true, they are not of God and are not to be feared." There is only one true and living God. And after being on this site, I wouldn't want to be a god. Too many of the people I love would hate me for no reason.

God created us with limits. He did not create anyone to be equal to Him.. We were created to love Him and worship Him.

Since God has indicated He will be the only God for us, deification would be against His will, and He would never do it for us anyhow. God rejected Satan from heaven because he wanted to be equal with god. God has a history of punishing people who try to become gods, or worship other gods (false gods) besides Him (idolatry).

Think about it. How do we truly deify ourselves, except just in our imaginations? God is not going to do it. If we could do this, we would already be gods on earth, but this is not true.

The only answer I can come up with is to have you look at the fate of Lucifer when he tried to become God. That is a fate I would not want to look forward to. So I don't personally think we can become a god after we die. There can only be one God.

You will become the god of those who are following the wrong path like Joseph Smith who is on a wrong and false religion and belief. Why believe on the notions of a devil man?

Yes, of course we can.

Heres a few quotes staight from the Bible:

"We are made in the image and likeness of God".

"With God All things are possible"

"You shall do All these things, And much more" (Said Jesus)
"I and the Father are One" (We are one with God)

And for those with doughts that we are "Equal" to God.
"A Disciple is never greater than His Master"(said Jesus).

Meaning:
We are all equal because we are "All One" in God, thus it is impossible to be "Anymore" or "Anyless" than each other.

The Great "I AM" is a means of "Self Empowerment" (many would know of this) because to one to say "I AM" in a sentence, Is the Greatest statement of "One Self" that can be made.

But very few know that it is the "Great Statement of God" this is why we know God to be the great "I AM, THAT I AM" (because God is All things) God Is "Life itself" and holds NO Single Form.

This is why we achieve so much if we "Believe Whole Heartedly " ourselve to be very "Good" at that which we apply ourselves to. (ex: "I AM, a Great teacher" , "I AM an excellent Chef", I AM good at sports, I AM a Faith Healer, I AM one with God, etc)

Well, the Romans certainly believed it.

The Gnostic Christians believed it also, saying that our spiritual goal was to achieve sameness with the Christ.

But I think most modern established religions would refute the notion that we can become gods.

God in the Bible is title and it means Mighty. Elohim (god) was given in the Bible to God, Moses, everyone, Dagon (pagan god-idol (note that he could never be alive)), Satan... It just leaves us answer b. Never in the Bible you'll find a verse that says any of us will ever be equal to God but it says that there will be a difference: we will kneel before God, He will be OUR light, He will take care of us, wash away our tiers... Almost all of the things connected to God is connected to Jesus but almost none to us. The answer is obvious!
