Understand that there is a duality. He is angry because we fell into sin, and he can't accept anything "unholy". We all have our skeletons in the closet. I mean, like for example, if everyone lived by the rule "love your others as you love yourself", there would be no poverty.. and thats just one example.
But he also wants to forgive and love us, more than he wants to be angry. And that goes for anyone, no matter how much we've done wrong. Which is what he repeatedly tells us, also during the "angry" speeches. What he is most angry about, you could say, is that we don't listen to him and let him into our lives.
When it comes to earthquakes, big crisis things and all that, don't see it just as punishments. We create much of it by our way to treat the environment, global warming and all that, and have our self to blame. And i'm sure God saves alot more lives in the middle of those things then we know, and is alot more sad that it happens than we know. But it just shows us that life is short, and can be harsh, and we should think of the there-after more then we do.
Cus most of us, including me, don't spend much time realizing we are actually going to die.

If it seems to you that God is angry with "us," as a country or as a species, try this. Imagine that God is fictional. Now does the evidence you have been observing which led you to believe he was angry fit that hypothesis better than the evidence that he is angry?

God is not angry. Stop putting your feelings on God. Why are you angry with "us"? Who is "us"? Our petty human emotions that are born of fear do not plague God. God is much more powerful than that and exists far beyond such limiting emotions.

Why would an invisible, imaginary, nonexistent sky swooper be angry with us?
'He' programmed us, gave us parameters, wound us up and set us free.
'He' knew what was gonna happen before any of us were born.
This god stuff is sentimental clap-trap.
It's a sting set up and propagated by people who desire power over the masses purely for economic gain.
Are the McGullibles so frightened of the hell their ‘god’ has threatened them with?
Heaven will be full of cowards – thank god it doesn’t exist. *grin*

God's amazing love moves him to anger about injustice. Injustice moves God to anger because he loves us all. In this love he is trying to reach out to all of us.
Sometimes Christians like me forget how to love those who are different from us. We forget how to love people who God himself will never stop loving. I'm sorry about that..
As a Christian, I am sorry to say that I'm part of this world in which there are many problems.
I stand alongside those of you who are not Christians in this broken world where we allow tens of thousands of children to die every day of starvation or preventable disease.
I ask your forgiveness and God's forgiveness.
I know this though, God is love. He's provided us with everything we need to solve the world's injustice. We just need to respond to his love which none of us, Christians included, have never earned and when the task seems hopelessly big, we need to have faith in the great big God of love that we see in the cross of Jesus Christ.

Now why could he be angry? Could it be because we have finally begin to catch on to the fact that he is nonsense and the idea is spreading.
