this is normal in a recently broken up relationship... sometimes the relationship can be on its last legs and you are the only one to do something about it so you do and you feel free, but then sometimes you can think that you could of fixed it... but this is only what i think... feeling happy then like crap is normal... it will go away after a couple of weeks

What you should do is to face the reality that you love him more than he loves you and if he could have hooked up with your friend or some woman at the strip club he would have. Your friend really was being your friend and giving you the heads up that he is out looking and you should not be expecting this relationship to lead anywhere but in tears. So, as much as it hurts you to do it, you need to call him and set up a place to have a quiet talk about his behavior and that you think he needs to decide what he wants because it is over for you.Bring the things he has given you and say goodbye. You can put off the inevitable break up, but you know it is coming and why not show him you have enough self respect that it is your decision and a final one. Sometimes , you just have to cut the cord and this guy isn't ready to be comitted to anyone.

Like you said, you were sad. Getting out of a relationship with someone, especially a jealous person is actually a good feeling. No more getting in trouble because they think your messing around, its like lifting weight off your shoulders, thus the happiness. The sadness is from missing the person that you want them to be. Once you finally realize that they could never have been that person, your happy again.

It all depends on the relationship you had. There isnt a standard for you to be happy or sad. I was happy after getting out of a 4 year relationship (partially cause i was bored and cause it was abusive) but its not odd for someone to feel happy or relieved if the relationship wasnt that great!

Um.... maybe because something inside told you that she wasn't the right one, but you just wanted her and now that you broke up with her, that something is relieved. So, life has to go on, just live your life the way it goes! Hope I helped!
