I have a cold and tonsillitis and I'm almost on my recovery.
I want to sterilize my tonsil with a mild alcohol beverage.
What cocktail or mild alcohol is good for tonsillitis?
(Don't worry I'll just take a couple of sips!!)

Hi the best thing to take for your illness is a hot whiskey.
35.5 ml whiskey which is equal to one shot
2 spoons of sugar
A cup of hot water
1 slice of lemon
3 cloves
You get your cup of hot water add the whiskey and sugar into your cup. you than get your slice of lemon and put the cloves into the the rind of the lemon. When you have that done you than put the lemon into your drink and drink it.
Another tip would be to wrap up warm and stay in bed till your illness is gone. I hope that this works for you.

honestly no alcohol is good for tonsilitis. I have had that a number of times, and i could barely swallow anything. Everything burned and hurt. My doctor also told me that alcohol would interfere with the absorption of the medicine I was on and that the best thing to do was gargle with salt water instead.
you might also try hot tea with honey and lemon.

The best thing is to gargle with salt water.
Alcohol doesn't do much good but something like brandy or whisky will numb the throat for a while.

I love Annie Fannie's Freudian slip - indeed 'Hot tottie' will sweat it out of you alright! I thinks she means a hot toddy........although mytip is to go to bed with a bottle of Jameson's Irish whiskey, and drink....you forget all about having a cold!!!!

2 shots of your favorite whiskey.... 1 teaspoon of sugar...a little lemon juice ... heat to a near boil in microwave. Got this from a pharmacist himself when he came to my bar with a sore scratchy throat.
