got to go to America around September 2008, 5 persons in all, any ideas of where I can get the cheapest rate to get there ? I am from Malta so I guess we got to go to Gatwick or so...

try kayak.com, it'll get you the best major website fares and the usually-cheaper airline direct fares in one search, even if your travel originates from outside the US.

Of course, careful shopping all around, to include travel agents will get you the cheapest possible fare every time.

As another poster has already mentioned - try http://www.kayak.co.uk.

This searches all airlines and possible combinations of routes. Also, you can specify a destination and then click "search nearby airports". For example, if you searched for flights to New York and ticked this box, if a flight to Philadelphia was cheaper, it would offer this to you as well.

try trailfinders in london or newcastle they do flights all over the world and there great to book with as well never had any prob.s with them great people to chat do also they know they stuff not like a little travel agent that knows nothing

ive been told by a few people that zoom go from gatwick to either Newark airport or jfk airport (new york) for 99 GBP return.
