Since I have been reading all about vaccines and autism, I hear that single shots of MMR vaccines given at different times are a safer way. (Dr. stephanie cave). Does anyone know if these are available, where and when? My son is due to be vaccinated for his 1 year shots and I am paranoid. I have decided not to give him MMR till he is 18 months old.

The best thing to do is speak to your pediatrician. Tell him you would like the shots spread out, rather than grouped into a single shot. In all honesty, while I do not support the idea that vaccines cause autism (and I have an autistic son) waiting six months will not make any difference. Have the vaccines started on schedule, just see that they are spread out more.

ask your doctor and for your childs sake and life get the shots
