Absolutely
Many parents will feel the need to medicate their child with the same over the counter medicines that they took as children, especially those that do not have health plans and cannot afford to go to a Dr.
They will now be estimating what they feel to be a correct dosage and having very unfortunate results.

Yes they will! not all parents will but I am afraid that some parents will think that if they give a smaller dose of adult medicine it will be the same. It will definitely put children at risk. A lot of people I know can't afford to go to the dr. when their children are sick I think some people like this it will affect them more than others

i agree and i dont. i agree because theyre right, most over the counter medications really dont work all that well. pseudoephedrine is really the only thing that works well for colds. antihistamines work ok for allergies. most of the other stuff does little or nothing except like you said make them drowsy, but crying wont hurt them. theyll get tired after a hour and fall asleep. youre not as bad of a parent for letting them cry than if you kill them off. so why keep them around if kids are dying from improper use? but if they start pulling stuff though people will start self dosing their kids themselves with adult medications, that and running to the doctor everytime their kid has the sniffles and getting an antibiotic which contributes to antibiotic overuse and the bugs becoming resistant to them, which is more and more of a problem every year and by the way there actually is a link between SIDS and certain antihistamines, its not just overdosing

it's not going to help. because there are still adult versions of the medicines that some stupid parent is going to try giving to their child.
my son has had a cold for over a month. we cannot afford to go to a doctor. we've been giving him over the counter medicines to help keep the symptoms at bay.
but now, because of the retarded parents, the infant cold medicines have been taken of the shelves. now, we can't even get my son medicine that he needs.
i hate stupid people. they make everyone else pay for what they do.

I dont think so. It is a very foolish and uninformed parent who will do that. are ALL the cold and cough medicines off the market?

I think some parents, unfortunately, will do just that. With bad health coverage, and the need to make their children feel better, they will undoubtedly try anything.

Unfortunately, yes, you're probably right. People don't like to see their kids suffer and want to ease that suffering with something. That could be very bad.
