You should go together to an OISC-registered advisor or solicitor so you have a clear idea of where things stand. To marry in the UK, other than in a Church of England church, you would need to get a Certificate of Approval from the Home Office. In the circumstances, your CoA application would in my opinion be likely to be refused. In any case, marriage would not by itself give you any right to remain in the UK. However, if you were given permission to marry, and you register the marriage before your visa expires, you could then apply for permission to stay in the UK. The conditions would be the same as for the fiance visa mentioned below. Instead, you should return to SA, and then apply to come back on a fiance visa. For this application to succeed, you need to be both over 21, and you need to have suitable accommodation and enough income/capital to support yourselves without access to public funds. It is very important that your immigration history is good - DO NOT be tempted to overstay your visa.

You are not able to apply for a Certificate of Approval whilst on a visit visa.
I would suggest you look into the option of getting married in your partner's Home Country and applying for a EEA Family Permit in South Africa once you are married.

No, you can't ( legally) but technically, you can do how you wish ( although not recommended).
1. you dont need a fiancee visa- that's only if you marry GBR national
2. neither are you required to leave once you are married (contrarry to what it was said) but the opposite, then you can stay.
3. you do need to get married abroad ( ie in their EU country) and then come and live here.

You can get married anywhere in the world, but when your tourist visa is up then you are required by law to leave, you may however apply for citizenship in the country of your wife on the basis of your marriage.Alternatively she may apply for citizenship in South Africa on the same basis.
