if god is so powerful, why can't he heal amputees?
Apparantly, he has performed miracles before.
Not real miracles, just what people assume is a miracle.
Not once has he ever healed an amputee.
Why?
Can't he do it?
If all the churches and xtians all prayed that he would heal an amputee, what do you HONESTLY think is the chances of him doing it?

God made the brain the created the artificial limb for the amputees. Look, there is billions of people in the world, some are going to come out deformed and all but the thing is those people are not any different then you or I. So you are assumming there is something wrong with being an amputee when there is not, they are just missing a limb but still like you.

Please remember that not all Christians believe in "healing" as some try to do it today. We live in an age of faith where God wants us to believe without seeing, because that is faith which is the basis of the Christian life. It is mainly one denomination, Pentecostalism, that has pushed this healing thing, and like many other of their teachings, such as tongues, slaying of the spirit, God speaking directly to you, etc. it is not really biblical. Some of us are as much against the frauds who are making millions off of sick people as you are. Whether or not Christ ever healed an amputee or not I don't know. He did restored a man with a whithered hand. So I am sure God can do it, but I don't think He does do it in this age that we live in.

how about all the other well documented healings he has
done.
why cant you accept those? you cant can you?
and if he healed amputees right in front of you ,you would
still be skeptical wouldn't you?you would probably say it was
something else.
dont you realize that there are lots of amputees that believe
in him without question and will walk with him in heaven.
what good will it do you to be cast away with both legs
because of unbelief?
dont you realize that this question offends amputees that
have faith in Jesus Christ.
there is a case recorded in the scripture where Jesus healed
a man whose ear was cut off, but you cant except it can you?

Jesus restored the severed ear of a servant. He also re-grew a withered arm. He even brought dead Lazarus back to life. Jesus performed many miracles to prove his Deity. That is no longer necessary.

When we pray we must pray “in the will of God.” (Romans 8,27) “Thy will be done …” – Lord’s Prayer. Jesus also prayed, …”not as I will but as Thou wilt.” - Matthew 26,39

Jesus taught us by his life, death and resurrection who God was and how he works in our lives. He also taught us how to pray. He gave us the Lord’s Prayer as our model of prayer. Following this model it should not be ‘my will be done’ when we pray but rather ‘Thy will be done’. Let us not question the wisdom of God if he does not grant our petition. Let us just ask for the wisdom and grace to accept what God cannot change.

God cannot change the biological and physical laws he created because if he did there will be anarchy and chaos. For example, if he restored an amputee’s limb how will God answer the prayer of a prosthetics doctor who has been praying for patients? If I ask God to give me clear weather tomorrow because my grandson will have a birthday party, how will God respond to the farmer praying for rain on the other side of the mountain? If a brick is about to hit me, God will not change the laws of gravity. If he did, we could have a worldwide catastrophe. Want more examples? I can give you more but I think I have made my point.

However, this doesn’t mean that God doesn’t answer prayer. All prayer is answered but not always in the way we hope or expect. God always lovingly hears our prayers, and in all things works for good for those who love him (cf. Rom. 8:28). The prayers that he always says yes to are petitions, which help us get to heaven. After all that is God’s plan for all of us.

The old amputee question. asking this question in know way disproves the existence of God. As far as if he's able to heal? Yes, im sure he can. Have I seen one? No. But does it rule out that it hasnt happened? No. And as far as prayer? a parent doesnt always fulfill the request of a child. The parent knows best.

God does not do things just to prove his power. There are reasons people are given limitations in life. These reasons may not be simple, but neither is God. I have my limitation in some mental capacities, which makes me focus and master the other mental capacities I have. Limitations, can bring about more emphathy for others, and motivate one to put more effort into understanding their problems, no matter how complex and difficult. Also, one can gain character, which is a very valuable commodity these days.

You don't mean healing, you mean re-growing the limb. Maybe you should talk with some people who have lost limbs. Most of the ones I know have healed, and no healing happens without God.

Peace and Blessings,

Actually He can..
It only takes a righteous prayer and alot of faith. Faith is the best ingredient... It is just hard to have faith.

Only people deserving can be healed.
Don't just pray.. also become deserving..
