First of all, I think it's commendable what you have achieved. I'm sure there aren't many Christians who can honestly say that they have read the Bible the whole way through!

You are the first person I've ever heard to say that it reads like it was written by a 5 year old. Many people acknowledge the wisdom contained in the Bible. Hindu leader Mohandas Gandhi once said: "When [we] shall get together on the teachings laid down by Christ in this Sermon on the Mount, we shall have solved the problems of the whole world." That's quite a statement for a non-Christian to make.

The Bible was written by about 40 different men, but I do believe that "all scripture is inspired of God." (2 Timothy 3:16) Obviously, the Bible could simply just be saying that it is inspired and that does not prove it to be true. But it is only once you have an honest-hearted study of the scriptures that you begin to appreciate the internal harmony and clear evidence of inspiration, which cannot be done through a cursory or superficial reading.

For example, I could read a book on quantum physics. I may understand what each word means, but unless I have a desire to understand the subject, it is less likely that I will grasp the import of the material and the concepts in it.

Proverbs 2:4, says: "If you keep seeking for it as for silver, and as for hid treasures you keep searching for it... you will find the very knowledge of God." Just as digging for 'hid treasures' requires effort, so does understanding God's word, particularly the book of Revelation which is deep and heavily symbolic, but that does not mean that it is impossible to fathom it's meaning.

At Matthew 17:3, Jesus said in prayer regarding his followers: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ." This indicates that a continual learning process would be involved.

I would encourage you to continue reading the Bible. Even if you still feel it is uninspired, you can benefit from the wise counsel it contains which is applicable even in our modern times.

Um, none of it. It was never disputed that the Bible was written by man. The argument is whether it was inspired by god. I would say no since god doesn't exist, but from a Christian perspective, I would say that an imperfect man cannot write a perfect book, even divinely inspired. If a god were inspiring someone, then they would write their interpretation of it, which can be dramatically different from the original intent. We've all played the telephone game where one person whispers a secret to someone and they whisper it, in turn, to the next person and so on. What emerges is a loose, often nonsensical version of what was originally said. Sounds a lot like the Bible to me. lol

Hmm ..well I would imagine the answer you are lookning for would be the parts which were writen by the profits/saints/deciples ...as god would have been acting through these to show us the way.. but alas when you say the Bible.. I feel you should be more spacific with Which ONE..
You see the Bibles are all based on scriptures which are decifered/translated by people and sad to say that these translations can only be looked at as a perseption off what the person who translated them could truthfully give

You see the only way you can truthfully read a Bible would be from the originall scriptures given/left to us.. and for us to understand them we would need one to Translate each and every word inturn so we may read and come to our own understanding off what the way to god truly is ...and not a book which has been writen and re-writen and re translated and with bits, which one could not make sence to for lack of knowledge and ones perception in translation, left out...

For example look at your Bible and look to see how much off the first Profit sent to us it contains..
His name was Enoch... how much of his scriptures where included if any in your bible..? below is a link to show an example of Enoch

Interesting.
Are you sure you read the Bible? or did you pick up a little kid's cartoon book about the Bible?
I've read it 43 times, to be precise, and I find something to bless me each time.
The Bible itself gives you the answer, "All scripture is given by divine inspiration from God."
"Holy men of God wrote as they were moved by the spirit."
But if you read with your eyes closed you didn't see that.
Try it again with your eyes open.(maybe visit the eye doctor first . ;) )
You'll find a five year old would never have been genius enough to write it (if he was einstine) and to predict a thing thousands of years before it occurred.
Blessings.

None of it, God wasn't actually a human being. IF YOU BELIEVE IT, God is a spirit that created everything in 7 days. The Bible is written ABOUT God and Jesus, not BY them.

All of it. Don't let the world drag you down with it. The Bible says to come out and be ye seperate. Our sins seperate us from God, but reread John 3:16, God loves us, He sent his Son Jesus to die for us on an old rugged cross. He shed his blood for you. He was crucified for you and me. Beaten to a bloody pulp so that we might live. Jesus wants you to be Born Again John3:3. He wants you to be a child of God and go to Heaven when you die, to do this all you have to do is accept him as your Lord and Saviour, just pray this simple Prayer of faith believing in the Bible, just say, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Oh dear, you have just read the entire bible and not a single word has actually settled!
Go and read it again - this time try to read with an open mind, have a pencil and post its on hand, and perhaps that way it will have some sort of effect on you.

You are entitled to your opinion. If you feel that the book is written by a 5 year old, you could re-write since you are above 5 yers.

none of it - it was ' apparently inspired by god - IE - the main man through visions and deep thoughts and stuff got other mortal folk to pass it on via word of mouth and then eventually write it all down.
well if you were in charge you wouldn't do it yourself would you - you'd have a Secretary .

for those who haven't read it - he dies in the end.
