I'm on 225 mg and it's been pretty good so far for my depression. One bad side effect is that I have completely lost my sex drive. I've also found I have a little more nervous energy on Effexor. I had been taking Lexapro before this and I didn't have that problem but I find it's better for my depression than Lexapro or Zoloft.

I've been on it twice. The first time it worked great to the point I didn't need it at all! The second time it didn't work at all. It really helped me get my life together. I wasn't crying for days and could be a normal person for the first time in a very long time. Never had any side effects from it.

started 6 weeks ago, don't like it so far because it made me very nervous.Doc prescribed something else to take at night and only take the effexor in the am, and so far its been a few days and feel much better,no extreme nervousness, can't stand that feeling.

Been on it 20 years. Could not live without it.It unscrambles signals to the brain. Mainly effecting serotonin levels.Some side effects, mainly sexual, and never ever go cold turkey if you quit.My dosage is 150mg a day Effexor XR.

what ever you do,dont drink alcohol with it,not even one glass,it will make you violently ill.Some people become suicidal on effexor,as with many other anti-depressants.

yeh, my ex e x had them
he crumbled when he stopped taking them again, physical & psycological addiction to them.
Fresh air & excercise is alot better.
