First, we must have something that has important, even profound implications for us/everyone to keep us motivated, and we must have the relevant knowledge, understanding, and skills to feel empowered to keep on keeping on or succeed, depending upon the issue. Without those ingredients, I have a difficult time being determined and inertia takes over.
