Well, as an atheist, I have no religious faith, but I have observed some people who do seem to get a kick out of telling people they are going to hell. I think its a way for them to feel superior. That is probably the only way they can.

I don't know if that is appropriate, but I have seen people who rejoice in the belief that they have been specially chosen by God - unlike "you" - meaning "me".
