The Northern Beaches have swimming inclosure's/nets to protect from any jelly fish that may be around, however the season is from November until May - June is fine to swim in the ocean - or 'stinger-free' as we call it.

Its a great time to visit - no jelly fish! Not too humid either, though the sea might need a light wetsuit if you are all day out on the reef snorkling.
