christians have used this tactic since their begining. to keep control of the poor ignorant peasants. But unfortunatly most people nowadays are educated well enough to know that its just a big lie.

All of you atheists are the same on this one thing.

I do not know what is the matter with all of you as you guys have forgotten one thing.

Not all self proclaim Christians are actually following the Bible.
Sad truth but its reality.
Some are just 'Sunday' Christians which are Christians who just merely attend church and only thought of God on Sunday,
Some may even do sins like sexual relationships with different people...

Or how about that gay pastor who wanted to build a church in Malaysia? Funny how he says he follows God but he's a gay. Another hypocrite. I can forgive him for being a gay but not a hypocrite. He's just another guy who's gonna spread false teachings.

I could go on but the main point is not all (self proclaim) Christians are faithful to God.
Among all this time since Christianity exists, there are many churches that deviant from the word of God.

I don't think that hell is just a scare tactic.
And so far alot of prophecies from the Bible came true, so what's there not to believe?
As for that comment,
I'm sad they say such things when they should know better.

Some people say Atheists are supposingly smart people,
but so far...
You people think that one person from a group acts terrible that means that the whole group is terrible.
That is not call being smart but ignorant.
Kinda like what alot of Americans did to anyone who wears something over their head whether its a Muslim or a Sikh after 9/11.

You guys are seem really desperate for evidence agains't Christians that you guys could go this low.
Is there no Atheist that actually thinks differently on this?

I've met and read countless writings of Atheists that pretty much says the same thing.

By the way, which hell are you talking about? The famous Catholic version or the one that comes from the Bible?
Alot of Atheists think that the Catholic version represents the Christian Bible version. So wrong.

Well it sure worked on me! I know I don't want to be separated from God for eternity. Where did you get the info that the Christian reputation is falling. The Catholic priesthood has gotten a bad name, but do you know how many Christians there are (billions) and how few(under 100) are actually giving Christianity a bad name? Not to mention a lot of these cases are all the sudden coming out and there stemming from the 60's , 70's, and early 80's. There are bad apples in every basket of life.

Wow, what a crock of junk. I can see a group of atheist fools have taken over this category and is flooding it with the anti-god message. Simple facts.. Do wrong you get punished. Mankind has, as shown in world history, wants to do something so he finds a way to do so with little or no guilt feeling. This is morally and factually wrong and shows the basic concepts put down in the Bible to be the real foundation of how we should live. As good moral people! Hell is in the Bible and it wasn't created by the Catholic Church (that is the concept of a "purgatory" that goes along with the false idea that you can pray some sinner out if it)

Your choice to believe that.

I don't believe that all Jews will burn. If you understand what the Word of God says, Jews were chosen by God to fulfill the blessings of Abraham. They are a chosen people. I am a firm believer in the grace of God. And He will extend that grace to many Jews. If you would like to understand this than read chapters 9 -11 in the book of Romans.
Christianities reputation fell along time ago. When Christians began the torture and merciless killing of God's chosen people. This was most evident in the day of Martin Luther. One day many Christians will stand before the throne of judgment and say "Lord, I was faithful." But God will look on the heart and say, "Be gone for I never knew you." The outward appearance of a man does not cover up the heart before God.
God desires people of integrity who are devoted in the service of their heart.
Because a person says they are a Christian does not mean they are going to Heaven.

Hell is separation from God's grace. You can say you are an athiest all you want, but just because you don't believe something doesn't make it not true. You should try to find some tolerance and then open your mind to other ideas. God doesn't use scare tactics, he uses truth.

hell CAN be a scare tactic. It is also a metaphorical way of showing that we all reap what we sow. Hell is not a 'place' of literal fire and brimstone, but a state of existence, far from the love we might once have rejected. That's not to say it is always eternal, but certainly accountability for one's actions is not to be taken lightly.

Hell doesn't make sense for a couple reasons that I can think of at the moment.
(1) God is omnipresent. Hell is the absence of God. Either God is omnipresent or Hell doesn't exist, make up your mind.
(2) God punishing humans for sin is like punishing a toaster for burning your toast. We were created with the capability to sin, just like a toaster was created with the capability to burn bread. Instead of God fixing the toaster, He throws it away. Yeah...all loving.

Better be aware that somehow it might exist than realizing it does at the end right? We Christians have nothing to lose if we found out that our beliefs where not true, but you on the other hand, well that's a different story.

God bless.

Good and evil you will always find together. Hell is evil and Heaven is good. Heaven will always prevail though hell will keep trying no matter what. Sorry the world needs a balance of both for it to work properly.

I do hope you know that you're wrong. "Hell"
is not just a scare tactic.
I also hope you know that not all Christians tell non-believers that they are going to hell.

You're an atheist? Gee, I never would have guessed.
***giggles***
The E comes after the I.

I would have thought an ATHEIST knew that.
