If you can't trust someone, then there is no love. I'm gonna quote a few versus to you......
1 Cor 13:4-8:
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails.
Now, I'm no bible thumper, but you gotta admit......that IS a pretty good definition of what love is.....don't you think?

In order for a good marriage to work, you need a few things.
1)You must know how to lie exceptionally well. Nothing ruins a marriage worse then having your significant other finding out that you were sleeping with their sister/brother.
2)An escape plan. You don't want to get out of that terrible marriage and find out that your all alone do you?? That's why it's very important to keep a girl/guy on the side. Make sure that they are a step up attraction wise from what you already have.
3)Money. You should always hide money from your partner. That way when you and your secret lover are ready to move away together, you have the funds to accomplish that goal!!

I'm a stickler for defining words.
That word love is difficult to define.
Trust is what is needed for a partnership to succeed.
Once it's broken, everything goes down the drain, including love.
Love could be temporary, or everlasting.
The young tend to use the word "love" carelessly.
Love between a mother and a child is usually irrevocable.
A mother would die for her child.
We see this not only with humans, but with many forms of animals.
Trust...without that, there can be no successful relationship.

I think the two go hand in hand because you have to have both to make the marriage work, yet there are cases where there is love and not trust and the marriage is not sound and perhaps even trust where love is missing

It is both. You need to know the person well and trust them and to love them. Because someday you would bring other members in the family. So if your thinking and asking this. I would say ur not ready. You need to be ready and willing and to be in love and trust the person to make that big step in life.

The most important thing is RESPECT.
Love and trust come out of it, and work hand in hand. But without respect, everything else fails.
