Basically, a girl I liked was interested in me but she apparently isn't ready for a relationship now (cuz she broke up with her ex recently). I'm not leaving her because she isn't ready for a relationship, but instead she mentioned it quite clearly that she "doesn't know if we'll ever be together because she ain't ready". Did I make the right choice of dropping her like a hotcake?

depends.........did you really like her because if you did, you just f*cked up.
if she decides that she is ready after all and you broke up with her, she might not want anything to do with you.
instead of breaking it off, you should have gave her some time and while your doing that, you could show her what a loving, giving guy that you are, and that might have made her realize that she does want to be with you.

No this is the right time for you to be with the lady and show that you really care for her.. tell her to right now take you as her friend and the it depends on the way you care for her ..... there are more chances for you guys to get hooked up

No... it's better you wait her if you really like her... everyone need a time to cheer up their feeling after they broke up with someone that they really like... maybe you can help her to cheer up, because sometimes, be a friend is better than be a girlfriend or boyfriend...
