OK. As far as I can tell you're relationship with this guy has reached a point where it makes you behave a bit erratically. You say you were unreasonable. I'm sure you believe that but I'm not sure it's true. You might well have been reasonable. So my advice is give it a while, and really think about whether you were right or wrong. If you still think you were wrong then you should apologise. You should also carefully think about why you were unreasonable. I gather that your relationship makes you feel insecure. Now if there are clear reasons why you feel insecure you should let him know what they are. You have to sort it out together. I have always been one of the guys telling you to give you're bf some space and time but now I'm not so sure. If he is not willing to listen to what you have to say, then you should consider that maybe he is being unreasonable, or as a worst case scenario that you guys are just incompatible. I know it's not something you really want to consider but maybe it's time we consider what's best for you (the individual) instead of you (the couple). After all being together means you have to sort out you're problems together.

You probably should apologise, but also make it clear why you reacted like that. Is it ok for him to just leave you in the pub when he was supposed to be out with you?

I cannot appreciate the reason of being embarrassed.
In true friendship between you two, such small things should not matter much.
It is my general perception.
You need to define your core zone of friendship and boundary zone of friendship and the same is true for your bf too.
Sincerely trust that you will appreciate my answer.

Yeah ring him and apologise, but also explain why you was being unreasonable, if he is out with you it isn't fair if he decides he wants to go out with his mates.

yes you should, not for wanting to spend time with him, but for the unreasonable part if it all...don't worry...he should understand!!

maybe you have some detachment issues lurking inside you somewhere??

Apologize...

No. Leave him alone and if/when it ever comes up in conversation, apologize and then never do it again. Otherwise, your apology is just bullshit and you're a hypocrite...
