Just got my package from Celebrity and it'll cost me $80 for 14 days of soda. I have a few questions for someone who know such things.
1, How many ounces is a "serving" of soda? Do you get a can and ice or just an 8-ounch plastic glass filled halfway with ice?
2, Where on the ship can I get my servings? I'd like to sit on my veranda and drink soda, but if I have to go all the way to the nearest bar to order one, every hour or so, it'll take the mood away.
3, When I order one of my $80 drinks is a tip expected?
4, Is Diet-Cherry-Coke one of the offerings?
Thanks.

When you buy a soft drink card they give you a wrist band and a thermal 12 oz cup that has a lid, or closes (depends on the ship). You can fill or refill at any location on the ship that has a bar or soda fountain. They do not refill from cans or bottles. So if you are near the pool, just walk to the pool bar, hand them your cup and they put in ice and soft drink. If you are in the casino or a lounge they do the same; if you are walking through the promenade and there is an eating place with a soda fountain, they will fill it there.

If you want soft drinks in your cabin, I suggest that you skip the $80 drink card and just take on board with you a six-pack of 16 oz sodas (or two), whatever you like. I carry on a six-pack of water and soft drinks every cruise when I can get to a store between the airport and the ship, and for sure when I drive to the port. I carry it on in my carry on bag and it goes right through the scanner with the rest of my stuff.

Another option, take a small thermos, or thermal cup with a sealable lid. Go fill you drink cup from the bar, then go back to your seat and pour it into the thermos, then go refill your cup again, maybe at a different bar, and then head back to your cabin with two cups full.

I have seen people with the cups on many cruises but have no idea what flavor soft drinks they offer.

depends on how much you drink soda's. they Sell you the card and give you a thermal cup. They fill it for you at bars, casino, ect. Included in the cost is a 15% gratuity. I know lots of people who bring on some bottled water and or sodas. (with their luggage. Diet CHerry coke is usually not one of the options.
usually coke, sprite, diet coke are the selections.
i would call the cruiseline and ask them more questions.

Depends on how much soda you drink. If you buy a card they give you a cupwith lid which holds about 12oz. And yes you have to go to the bar or include it with your meal for room service. If you buy it from your ship board account it is around $1.50 & they usually only charge a tip for the first one. Limit room for soda so small selection.
I have been on 22 cruises & have always brought a six pack with me & picked up more in ports of call. They bring ice to your room twice aday & some have a small refrig. in them So you can always have your soda cold when & where you want.
ENJOY.

I think whether or not it's 'worth' the $80 just depends on how much soda you drink, and whether or not you think that soda is worth making a trip to a bar or eating place and carrying your cup around whenever you want one.

We do not drink a lot of soda, so have never thought a soda card to be worth it. Lots of people bring cases of soda on board with them, wrapped tightly and tagged just like their luggage. We have brought cases of bottled water, though, and although Carnival will not guarantee that it will make it to your room if you send it with your checked baggage, ours has always made it just fine.
