25, great personality, fashionable but conservative dresser, I'm nice, very feminine, 5'6", 178, great conversationalist, sense of humor, etc. But guys never approach me. I go lots of places so I get out a lot but the only guys that seriously approach me are out of my age group (like, over 40). I am ok being single, but a guy hasn't shown real, genuine interest in me in a little over 5 years. Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like you might be acting a little over your age, like you are maybe too mature (nothing bad about it) but expect to date guys your age that might not really be “clicking” with you.
You sound like a nice girl, so I think you just need to look on different places. Try new places to hang out, maybe try to meet new friends, go out clubbing, stuff like that.
Also try changing a little bit the way you look and dress. Try different outfits, different hair styles, don’t; stick to the same, change is good, and rotate. One day dress elegant and conservative as you said you are, the next day put on a mini skirt and a tight top and a wild hair style, and the following just wear jeans and a t-shirt.
Those changes also make guys get interested in you as you show you like different things making you interesting. And don’t forget, always be confident. Believe in yourself and love your body. A girl that is confident is much sexier than any chick wearing a thong and a mini skirt. We guys like to see almost-naked girls, but is just for show. For serious dating, we like someone down to earth that we can trust and love.
Last, don’t look for guys. Let them come to you, let them be interested in you, and make lots of friends. The day you less expect it, you will be kissing your future husband.
Good luck, and have fun!

A lot of guys your age are looking more for the sexy, exhibitionist who flaunts their selves, a girl gone wild, so to speak, while you are fashionable and conservative. You have to find other places to go to find someone our age who would appreciate you for those reasons but if you do explore the possibility of someone say 40, 41, or even 42, you may find a maturity that you enjoy that you will not find in someone your own age and 15 or 16 years age difference does not always matter if you think of those successful marriages with a huge age difference, John and Bo Derek, Charlie Chaplin and his wife to name 2 that come to mind at this moment, both very successful marriages.

In my opinion i think the boy should ask out the girl but that is because i am from Chicago and that is what we usually do here but then some relationships are ruined because the guy is to shy or they girl is to shy in my school we have boys and girls and the girls usually talk to the boys and then the girls usually talk among themselves same with the boys. I'm not shure if this helps it might be a little unclear but that is my opinion.

well, 5'6"/178 is very heavy. i'm a guy, a foot taller than you, and only outweigh you by about 30 pounds. and i'm not exactly skinny myself.
guys approach girls they are attracted to. being heavy means a lot of guys won't be attracted to you. sorry but that's how it is.

If you're shy you might seem intimating, especially -even if you're not shy- you use closed body language like crossing your arms. Crossing your arms translates to "leave me alone!"

scum has settle in the deep and spawned anew grotesquery of smegma and wild orgy, of mayhem and ignorant frolic, for men are a beautiful race of cads and hot muscular scoundrels seeking a good pleasure phyq. if you are distraught and believe that no male has found the perfection that you are, then i suggest finding a male you can admire and seek him out, before someone else destroys him for you.
