Don't send me biblical passages..that's not you thinking, it's something that was written by ? Don't quote passages to cover up what you can't explain.. in your own thoughts and words .. explain it.

It says and this is not a quote..close enough though.. God created the Heavens and the earth..So, where did God come from? Was it like a big bang thing.. kaboom ..there was God?
What was the point of creating the Heavens and the earth? Why, if he's so almighty, why didn't he make something else.

Don't tell me to just believe, tell me why I should believe.

You say we atheists have very little scientific proof, but we seem to have more than you do.

You believe in an entity doing the creating and making humans out of dirt/clay and a rib.
We believe in evolution.

If the story was told to a person who had never heard either side, evolution or creation, which one sounds more realistic?

So, go for it, pretend I'm that person.

How does something evolve from nothing. And who or what created the something that it came from?

In either case, neither sounds more realistic. They are both equally unbelievable.

This is as satisfying as arguing the chicken and te egg theory.
No one wins this debate.0-0.

I do not have authority over you to tell you what you should or should not believe.

Except that faith does not require proof.

First of all, the "who created God" question can be answered by another question: Who or what created time? Has time always existed, even before humans were around to measure it? Even before the Earth formed or was formed?

Try to wrap your mind around time. It was here long before there was anything, and will be here long after everything is gone.

As for the rest, it's not up to me to explain everything. I'm not a scientist, nor was I there when everything came into existence. I don't know. I have no idea how God actually created the heavens and the earth. For all we know, it could have been exactly the way scientists say everything was formed.

It's also not up to me to prove that God exists. I can demonstrate how it's POSSIBLE, but nothing else. I'm sure you've heard all the arguments for creationism. If none of it makes sense to you, there's nothing I can do to change that. It's YOU that has to change, the same way I had to. It was my worldview that had to change...and even then, I had to ask God for evidence that He existed.

Well, God gave me sufficient evidence. I pray that He does the same for you. And He will...if you let Him.

Actually, i believe in both God and Evolution. I believe in a LOT of things.

I think you seem quite angry towards the whole God situation, maybe something happened to you that made you think this way? Don't worry, i'm not gunna say somethin about finding yourself or anything.
-just an observation.

But that is extremely rude telling people to explain something that they are unable to, and to question that which they believe in. Your a very RUDE person and do not deserve such answers if you are going to treat those that do believe in this way!

ugh! Get over yourself! Move on for crying out loud and stop dwelling on pointless, stupid issues if you don't even believe in them!! What a waste of time!

why do you want absolute opinion? isn't that what is causing all the confusion? too many dang opinions? that doen't even fly in scientific circles. to approach physicists with opinions and speculations? HAH! what says it is okay to do that with christians? isn't it better to talk to someone who has learned what you want ot learn? if we can't use the bible how can we prove to you that it is right? no one can answer where God comes from, christian or not! anything is mere speculation. we cannot know the unknowable. so is science fake because scientists don't know everything about the universe? or is that what they claim, because i don't know of any christians anywhere that claim to know everything about God. what proof do you have? you may prove that species evolve through adapting to their environment, but you cannot prove that we were created by accidents and meteors. these are theories. besides more and more scientists are realizing that creation is far to complicated to be random. mathematically speaking it just does not add up...literally. so we are slowly seeing a push to teach "creationism in schools again at the same time athiests want God gone from them. coincidence? maybe, but unlikely. God is taken out of schools and all the shootings happen? maybe people didn't realize what kinds of evil he was protecting our children from. coincidence again? maybe, but unlikely. if you love science then do the math...if life was created the math will show it. if not then the math will show it. for math is absolute.

Im not a "Christian" but I believe in God. Do I have all the answers; of course not. But my answers are not regurgitated rhetoric or mindless quotations either. Reading your question made me smile. Im sure you have heard of the law of Cause and Effect. What was the cause that produced the Big Bang(effect)? Dont explosions require catalysts? What form of life comes into existance accidentally? NONE. All life no matter how small requires the effort and presence (nevermind method, ie. asexual, eggs, live birth) of the SAME form of life before IT can be. None of us were there when it all started, and we raise enough hell with the little we know now. Maybe when we grow up He'll answer all the big questions. I hope that helped.

I have a question for you.

If you believe that God came from somewhere, then what was there before God?

And I don't want to hear about the universe being the result of a chain of innumerable expansions and contractions and big bangs. What was there before the first one?

edit:

I forgot I was talking to someone who considers their self an atheist, but the question applies whether you argue that God came into being, or that there was a big bang.

In matters of God neither my opinion nor yours carries any weight whatsoever.

Hbr 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

No one can convince you if you don't want to believe. And by reading your "question" I don't get the impression that you are serious. But it still is up to you what you want to believe. No one can talk you into it. You have made up your mind that we have no proof, and we have given our proof over and over again and you haven't excepted it. What would the difference be now, especially how you worded your "question"? So have a nice day.

Which one sounds more realistic?! That we came from a monkey or a cockroach or whatever or that God created everything and everbody??!
I know God created everything and everybody. God is Almighty.
