Automation is controlled by the use of the PLC's ,2s,3s,5s, most are Allen Bradley however they are not limited to AB specificly many use there own programming lanquage and just use the PLC's as Controlers.

there are dozens of "ideas about automation in PLC"....

You know, AB is not the only PLC maker (well, in Wisconsin maybe), but there is also Toshiba, Panasonic, Siemens, GE, Omron, Mitsubishi, Klöckner Möller, Unitronics.......

PLC can be suitably programmed to run almost any process automatically. It would need sensor inputs, input interfaces and output interface circuits. PLC are used even for controlling electrical energy consumption in residential buildings.
