It seems to me that the majority of Christians are unable to accept that we are primates, descended from apes over millions of years. Do all Christians believe that Adam and Eve were 'real' people, and that the biblical fable about Noah and his Ark is a 'true story'? That the earth, perhaps even the universe was created only 6000 years ago?

I think the whole concept of Original Sin, being born into sin, is meaningless. What about the tens of thousands of other people who were crucified, how comes none of them died for our sins? Jesus died because politically he was a troublemaker.

I do not believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, and I believe he did not come back from the dead. If I am wrong, prove it. Becoming a Christian may help gullible drug addicts, alcoholics and criminals clean up their acts, but its just harmful to teach this stuff to children. It just creates an unneeded division in society over 'religion'.

The historical Jesus was probably a charismatic teacher and faith healer, one of many at that time period. But the whole New Testament is nothing more than religious fiction, religious poetry.

And that book of Revelation was written by a nutcase, and is clearly about ancient Rome, the beast being Nero.

Fear of the possibility of the Bible not being infallible, of course.

I've seen both sides of the coin: members of both Christianity and Islam attacking science for not conforming to the Bible / Qur'an, and the same people making lies to reconcile science with their spiritual manual.

Pseudoscience sucks, but so does the kind of intellectual dishonesty some people will resort to, just to defend their faith.

I haven't any situation excepting the belief of evolution. in spite of everything it truly is in basic terms a sharing of strategies on how issues replaced and stepped forward over the eons. theory is a reality and human beings have meditated the how and why in view that recorded history. for people who insist the Bible does no longer help evolution then clarify to me or everyone how long have been the days of Genesis advent tale. and don't try to use the previous argument an afternoon to the Lord is one thousand yrs as Peter grew to become into in basic terms utilising that as a occasion to furnish the human beings the theory that with GOD what we'd call an afternoon is one thousand yrs. As with GOD time and area does no longer exist. So all you fundies can thumb me down even though it truly is you who refuse actuality no longer me.

And who wrote the book which you have read that you believe you came from evolution , from the apes? Was it not written by a nutcase which came from the imagination of a man who is telling that he is wise and state that he is wiser and intelligent than God?
Can you understand the meaning of virgin woman? Do you mean to say that before Jesus was born from Virgin Mary, she has already experience sexual act. ? Is it not that Jesus was the first born child of Mary?
It seems that you are also saying that you were not born from a virgin mother that your mother have sex before you were born if ever you are the eldest among her children.
In becoming a true christian, all the laws of God is observe.Drug addicts, alcoholics and other criminals are not true christian people but were misguided to have followed the dectates of satan instead to follow the laws of God.
There is no such thing as original sin. It is only the belief of those who are not really in a true christian religion.Sin of another could not be transferred to another person. The sin of your ancestors or sin of your mother and your father is not your sin, . Put it in your mind that sin could not be inherited. Our bible says that we are not born into sin. The sin of Adam and Eve is not our sin.A child who do not know the words of God and do not follow the law of God has the tendency and always in the tendency of becoming evil in his thinking and such, he will turned to be a criminal and a menace to the good society. Because you are against God you became a wicked human and a wicked man could never come to understand the bible.

Not likely that the beast was Nero. He was dead prior to the writing of Revelation which was likely written around 90CE.

Furthermore, I disagree with evolution quite aside from my faith. I disagree with it because it is unproven drivel which is way less likely than any religion.

Aside from the fact that Darwin himself said in "Origin of the Species" that if no transitional species were found then the whole theory would fall apart. Which by the way none have ever been found.

Name me any closed system which becomes more organized with no increase in energy into the system. You can't I defy you. However, this is exactly what is required for evolutionary development into more sophisticated life forms.

Additionally, "scientists" blindly believe evolution and violate the null hypothesis with no "observable", "measurable" or "repeatable" data. Sounds like a religion to me gang.

If you look outside the US, very few educated Christians are opposed to evolution. In Europe disbelieving the evolution is a very rare phenomenon. I only heard some marginal American-inspired Christian groups have that weird kind of belief.

The Catholic Church and several of its popes also clearly said evolution is not contrary to Christian beliefs (as long as it is not interpreted in a stictly materialistic way).

There's no evidence for a historical Jesus. Check out these links:

Did a historical Jesus exist?
http://www.nobeliefs.com/exist.htm
[Excerpt]

ALL CLAIMS OF JESUS DERIVE FROM HEARSAY ACCOUNTS

No one has the slightest physical evidence to support a historical Jesus; no artifacts, dwelling, works of carpentry, or self-written manuscripts. All claims about Jesus derive from writings of other people. There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. Devastating to historians, there occurs not a single contemporary writing that mentions Jesus. All documents about Jesus got written well after the life of the alleged Jesus from either: unknown authors, people who had never met an earthly Jesus, or from fraudulent, mythical or allegorical writings. Although one can argue that many of these writings come from fraud or interpolations, I will use the information and dates to show that even if these sources did not come from interpolations, they could still not serve as reliable evidence for a historical Jesus, simply because all sources derive from hearsay accounts.

Hearsay means information derived from other people rather than on a witness' own knowledge.

Courts of law do not generally allow hearsay as testimony, and nor does honest modern scholarship. Hearsay provides no proof or good evidence, and therefore, we should dismiss it.

I oppose evaluation because I believe in creation. You oppose creation because you believe in evolution. So what is the difference. and as to your opinion of Christians and the Bible, it is just that, your opinion. Have a nice day.

Wow!
Sounds like you've got Christians in your sights and are prepared to shoot. It also doesn't sound like you're looking for any answers. You've already got them all.

Let me ask you this: Why do you object to someone else's beliefs? Is it because you feel they object to yours? If that's so, aren't you guilty of the same thing by your words? I think Hinduism is false, but I don't spend my time attacking it, and I don't object to or hate its adherents.

You know what I think?

I think you hate God.

When people hate God they 'punish' Him in the only way possible, by denying Him. Furthermore, I think you hate God because you hate yourself. That's how hatred works. Hurt people hurt people.

BUT...

God does not hate you.
God understands.

If you really want to know about the Bible, try reading it. There are three billion Christians in the world. Maybe they're not all idiots...
Food for thought.

Because I have no use for lies or liars.

Jhn 8:44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
