Is it true? If you pray this prayer, are you saved?
I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Lord Jesus come into my heart. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. Please forgive my my past sins and mistakes. I believe that right now I am saved. In the Name of Jesus, Amen

the abovementioned prayer is just an example. It is also written that "those who called on the name of the Lord will be saved" And you know (you know who you are) please if you have nothing to say rather not speak, for then everybody will know how unwise you really are.

prophet I am not talking about justification, justification come after salvation and then after justication comes sanctification. The choice is ours.

The only reason anybody will go to hell (that is saved from hell) is by choice. I pray right now that everybody that reads this prayer and have not yet prayed it, will come to realise that the time is little and soon we will be running out of time. Take a leap of faith and pray this prayer, I challege you.

I have news for you. In 1985 I prayed this childlike prayer and from that time I know that something has happended in my life. And by the way, I am not an immatured Christian. Read my portfolio and you will be surprised.

Jane Vile, is the two of us in different camps. The Lord says that if you are not for Me, you are against Me. Who said anything of being robots? I still say the choice is yours (ours) what part do you not understand, and by the way if you were saved, why would you address me in this fashion. It makes me wonder that you sort of side with the unbelievers and try to explain on my behalf. You don't have to to it. I have favour with the King of King and am an Ambassador for Christ.

More or less but you can not turn from your sins. You will always sin but if you belive in Jesus, God will remember your sins no more (Hebrews 10:17). You need to be baptised by the holy spirit and do the will of God.
Why Jesus died For Us
He is our sacrificial lamb who shed his blood to cover your sins: past, present and future. If not he died at the cross in vain. He full filled (Luke 24: 44) and nailed the 10 commandments to the cross (Colossi ans 2:14). Christ did not die in vain (Galatians 2: 21). Spirit is of faith and not of the works of the law (Galatians 3: 2). Christ is the end of the law (Romans 10: 4). The law was our tutor but no more (Galatians 3: 24 – 25). God will remember your sins no more (Hebrews 10:17). You are a sinner for life, there is nothing that you can do, not to sin (1 john 1: 7 - 10). You can not go out into the world and do what ever you wish, just because Jesus covered your sins (Romans 6: 1 - 3). Hebrews 8: 7 – 13 (he wrote the laws into their hearts, so that you would know right from wrong.
If you have faith in Jesus and are obedient to God, then you are not under the 10 commandments.
If you do not believe in Jesus, then you are under the 10 commandments, now you need to bring your unblemished goat to the alter every year and sacrifice it to cover your sins but with Jesus, he is our new covenant.
You are justified by faith and not of your works

I am a born-again Christian and even I am kind of embarassed at this post...
The repitition of this prayer is something that comes from a very young convert...someone not 100% mature in their relationship with Christ.
I think if you are trying to spread the gospel, the focus should not necessarily be "pray this prayer", but "FOLLOW CHRIST!". Believing that Christ lived and Christ is Lord is just the tip of the iceburg...walking as Christ did on a daily basis, dying to self, and allowing God to change us is truly life changing...even other Christians I know don't do this.
So, for those reading that are non-believers...please know that there are more approaches to the subject of salvation, and that not all of us are robots who utter the same words in efforts to spread "the message".
Blessings...

Of course you are saved. Like what you have prayed, "I believe that right now I am saved." And you have already invited him to come into your heart when you said, "Lord Jesus come into my heart."
However, don't just stop after praying this prayer. You gotta live like a Christian and learn to be more like Him. Loving God is not a religion it's a relationship=)
Right now, you just need to find a church that can help you to grow and teach you more.

Yes!
But Jesus being Lord means you follow Him every day for the rest of your life. That's what 'Lord' means. If you don't realize that, and you're just saying some 'magic words' you may not get there.
To be honest, it's the biggest commitment you can make. But don't be afraid. It's also the best decision you can make.

Hi Suzanne
Great post.
These are among my favorite verses:
Romans 10:9
1 John 1:9
John 3:16
John 1:12
Revelation 3:20
Christ is waiting to enter your heart. Why don't you let him come in? Our hope is in Christ alone for our eternal salvation.

Jesus Christ took the punishment for us. it is not asserting "Do what ever you want and actually repent" - "repent" ability you won't be in a position to do precisely what ever you want. It ability to end, turn around, and circulate the different direction. Or, interior the words of Jesus, "circulate and sin not greater!" thus far as being punished before stepping into the dominion of God, it won't be in a position to ensue. Hell has a one-way door for the accountable; and the only reason Jesus became into waiting to circulate away is using the fact He did no longer carry His very own sins (on condition that He did no longer have any); quite, He carried the sins of the worldwide, dumped them off, and because He rather became into "no longer accountable", hell had no skill over him. He conquered dying, hell and the grave on our behalf. in case you want to be punished to your sins, you won't be in a position to get into God's Kingdom or heaven or something. Punishment for crimes committed against an everlasting and infinite God might desire to be everlasting and infinite, merely as a results of fact the rewards additionally are everlasting and infinite. "For we are saved through GRACE, through faith. that could be a cutting-edge from God, no longer be works, so as that no guy can boast."

A very godly bishop was walking down the streets one day, when he saw a little girl, a very zealous Christian no doubt, and kindly asked him "Bishop are you saved?" The bishop, a very kind man smiled and said "My friend are you asking me, have i been saved or are you asking me am i someday to be saved or are you asking me am i in the process of saving.
The flustered girl didn't respond. "Honey" said the bishop "All three are true I have been save I am being saved and I shall be saved." "You see, salvation is comprehensive. It has to do with our past, we were saved at our baptism. It has to do with our present, we are in the process of salvation when we do good deeds and we will saved in the future in the last judgment."
If you want to be saved look up the orthodox church. The FIRST Christian church.

Your describing mixing faith in Christ with works of the law.
The only way to fall from Grace is
to mix works of the law with faith.
Only when someone is no longer under the law is somone free from sin.
None will be justified by the law.
No one.
By faith alone we are saved.
