I would say somehere in the bully breed. They're are about 25-30 breeds of dog who look like pitts (real names are american staffordshire terriers)

But here is a website where you have to "Spot" the pit bull. Take the test, and look around and as he gets older look at this chart and see which you think is closesthttp://www.pitbullsontheweb.com/petbull/findpit.html.

Then, when he is older take a few that you think are very close and go to the AKC web site, look up the breed and see if he meets up to the standards like hight, weight, color, characteristics, even shape of the head and body . Just keep you eye on him, and look for outstanding traits . And google more info if you have an idea, I hope this helps!

It appears to be a Pit Bull or Pit mix.

It is very unlikely that it would be an American Staffordshire or a Staffordshire Bull Terrier because those were bred specifically to have black noses, not red. (While you will occasionally see a rednosed AmStaff, it is not a color encouraged by the breed standard. I've never seen a red-nosed Staffybull.)

He's absolutely adorable, and while I agree that he does look quite a bit like a pit/amstaff/engstaf type mix, I'd say he could be something more random, too, like a Bull terrier/Jack Russell, with a dash of Bulldog for instance.

He's got the very square front legs with the wide chest, and there's something so Bullterrier-y about the ridge of his nose in the picture where he stands up, and about his mask, too. His ears are rather Jack Russell/Beagleish to me, but I suppose a Bullterrier's ears would look like that if they were to droop...hmmm. Yeah, I'm going for BT in there, for sure :)

- if you know/find out, let us know! :)

I would say he is a mix of pit and something else.By looking at some of the other photos of him he does not look full blooded pit.May be a jack russell or terrier of some kind.

Probably a pit bull or one of those breeds (like AmStaff), but his ears are a bit different - maybe he's got Lab in him?

The only way to know for sure is genetic testing:

He's adorable!!!

Looks like an American Staffordshire terrier. People shouldn't call them pit bulls because that refers to the despicable sport of dog fighting. The areas where they fight are called "pits".

He/she's cute. I'd have to agree with everyone else and say a mix of pit bull and terrier.
