It's not so much age as it is maturity and readiness to put forth what is asked. Real relationships are A LOT of work and constant upkeep, so to speak. If you're not ready for that, it may be better to hold off.

However, it does depend on what kind of "good healthy relationship" you're looking for. One that is fun and light, or "the one" that will last forever? Obviously, the tendency will be the older you are, the more ready/mature you are to give more--and expect more.

Wait until you've at least graduated high school! Everything before that - except in EXTREMELY rare cases - is unnecessary drama and stress and heartbreak when it finally collapses.
