This attack may have been politically motivated but what some people are missing here is when Muslims kill they are acting in accordance with their religious teachings and they have a reward waiting for them.
When Christians kill they go against their teachings and they cannot look forward to any reward. They are to "turn the other cheek" and "love their enemies". That is the difference.

First, the attack on Bennazir Bhutto (sp?) was probably as much political as religious in nature. Bhutto is more of a secularist, and her attackers may well have been fundamentalists. But the attack has to be seen in political terms mostly, IMHO.
As for Christianity seeming more peaceful, you can't be serious! Many decades of Crusades. Christian-supported slavery. Christian-supported oppression of Native Americans. Christian support of Japanese internment camps. This list can get pretty long, so I hope you were just joking.

Its a politically motivated attack on Benazir, not a religious attack, as most of the people think.
She came back after 8 years, few people like her, few don't. The people who didnt like her tried to kill her. Does religion come into picture? No.
Pakistan is mostly Muslims, with few hindus, sikhs, & a few other religions too.

I think it was a political issue and not really a religious one. Moreover, politics in Pakistan is pretty complicated at the moment. So it is very tough to comment on who did it and why it happened. All you would hear are just possibilities. When there is no evidence, we usually look for motives, like who gains most by her death? For the answer, I do not want to say anything.

1 she is not the prime minister but she is returning to be elected as such
2 it was her return that people were celebrating.
Her followers were celebrating because she will bring true and full democracy to Pakistan. There are the Muslim fundies who do not want that. That is why they tried to kill her and see it as a religious obligation to do so.
As for Christianity and peace lovingness. In similar situations they have killed too.

I think you are confused about terrorism. Study the politics behind terrorism. Why did the IRA bomb Christians?
Benazir Bhutto isn't muslim.
Try the politics section.

The Muslims who do things like this are just like the Christians who join the KKK or beat homosexuals to death. They have misinterpreted their religion's teachings and often have been blinded by hate mongering leaders who only want power. Their actions are a bastardization of the religion's true values.

it was political not religious ...
I'll make it simple for you
It was Al-Qeada that did the bombing, they tried to kill Benzir Bhutto - who is a supporter of the U.S. war on terror..
and don't act like Christianity doesn't have blood on it's hands, almost every religion does..

Every religion has their terrorists. Islam has their suicide bombers and martyrs. Chistianity has their abortion clinic bombers.
God's will is a handy excuse to give when behaving badly, since no one knows god's will.
