Of course. No one wants their significant other to want to be with other people.

I would be ending a relationship if someone I dated demanded that I not spend time with other guys and gals without their knowledge and got mad about it. Jealousy is unhealthy, immature and destructive. The person you date is not your property or private preserve. I believe that ending such a relationship is a health and safety issue.

If you are talking about them having sex with someone else, then the question is are you actually in a committed relationship or simply together because it's convenient?

Just spent 6 weeks on a jury where we put a 18 year old boy in prison for 60 years, no parole, for attempted murder -- the girl was talking to her half brother who was visiting from Japan.

Mad might be oversimplifying. Alarmed, would be more of the word. Depending on where we were in the relationship and why he was feeling this pull toward another person, I would hope we could talk it out and decide if this is something that means we're over, or just a call for something we're missing.

Yes, they would only be hiding it from me if I was the type of person that couldn't handle it in the first place, so I'd be mad that I'm a crap partner that needs things hidden from me

The desire to do so could be a fantasy and that's acceptable. If he acted on a desire, that's different.

Having sex with another outside the relationship, is cheating and taboo, for me.

I would kick him/her to the curb.
