think creative. you can get color samples from pretty much any paint store and take them home to see how the color would look on your walls. As far as furniture, consider how you want the room to work. You may want a bed to be there all the time, or a futon that will fold up into a couch when you don't need it and that gives you more room. you might look in your phone book for novelty stores or strobe lights if you want that, or perhaps a black light - think as wild as you can and you can always decide something is too radical and cut back but you will not be stuck to being too boring that way.

Um first start out with red-black - dark colors that reflect rock music. Keep a few posters of ur favorite band. I suggest the furnitures buy lazyboy dark colors- the kewl type. Ur budget might be high so instead u can buy norml furniture but paint the covering ur way- or u can give em to a art company which can do it 4 u. Last of all keep one big stero-the end- have fun punk!

HI, How cool that you want to do something special for your teenager! So many parents are fighting with their kids and here you are thinking about doing something that will make yours happy. I like the site that is linked below, but there are many if you just google "decorating for teenagers". As long as you're open to ideas why not just ask your teen to come up with a theme and favorite colors. You could even give your teen a budget and let him/her do it themselves. It could be a great experience and and education ....maybe even the start of a career in decorating!! Have fun...it's only paint and material!

Check out PBteen.com-Pottery Barn-great ideas-from girly to not so.Also Ikea. The color combos might not be you but the layout or decor will get you started. Try a color on the walls-or multiple with black furniture. Check out the cool seating and such they have-and art.com or posters .com has a HUGE selection of prints-from old ads to rock concert prints etc....what if tyou went retro with even black light posters? Might be really fun-
