You being confident is great. But don't be too searching guys may take use of that. Give it time and some guy is bound to show interest then make ur move but be sure he's not a jerk looking for a one night stand or something and make sure he meets Ur interests. Since u'r in a new school get to know more people and gt friendly with boys. you have to get to know a guy before making him u'r boy friend as you probably want a serious relationship now. Don't rush it becuz u never had boyfriend. i think you made good decision by refusing guys before since you weren't in to commitment at that point. so why not wait a little more and you'll find the boy Ur looking 4.

first of all make sure to BE YOURSELF! second of all if you really want a boyfriend just be sure to make friends with guys because, since you are at a new school, if you dont know any of the guys yet you want to get to know them before you commit to anything, especially if you are afraid of commitment. the right guy will come, you just have to be patient and let HIM come to YOU

It may be annoying for you, but your mom is only protecting you and does not want anything to happen to you. Age difference does not matter she will always assume a guy is to old for you because you are her daughter. And yes your mom may have met your father the same time you met yours and your mom probably made some mistakes that she just does not want repeated to you. Just listen to her because in the end if something does happen to you, you will feel bad for not listening and you will regret the outcome.

As you said that you don't want a REAL boyfriend , just a boy to show to others. You need to make up your mind as to your growth as a person, not just wanting girl things when you want them. Sorry if this sounds a bit rough , but think about it first before you may hurt a boy

How about a Gameboy - friend instead of a boyfriend? They won't let you down, they won't cheat on you, and they won't transmit STDs to you through their buttons.

That was semi-humorous - seriously, I think it's safer and more prudent to remain single until you're ready for a serious relationship, i.e. marriage. I know that may not sound good to you or may sound a bit too uptight or whatnot, but it's better at your stage to focus on school...

Good luck to you, and have a nice weekend.

Just be a bit of a flirt and the boys will come around, any way it is so much more fun once you get out of high school.

later good luck

Just be yourself. be social and make new friends... if you see a guy that sparks your interest, try and get to know him better then eventually he and you will become an item. Just don't rush anything.

just make friends and you'll get closer with some...and then you hang out more and more and start dating...

or you can just go to the store and get a piece of cardboard, string, a holepuncher, and markers....maybe glitter to make it catchy and make a sign saying 'i'm single'

its a good conversation starter.
