1) The apostles are dead
2) The apostles were permitted to marry (though not all did)
3) The apostles had personal instruction from Jesus himself, not recorded, physically and not by means of the Holy Spirit, which (presumably) no person or organization of our times has.
4) To the best of our knowledge, the apostles did not have church buildings built
5) The church of the apostles was, at least until the Jewish revolt, led from Jerusalem
6) In Jerusalem, the early congregants of the church of the apostles held their property in common - however, this seems not to be the case later, or at least in all congregations
7) The leaders of the early church (the "council of 12") was made up only of those who had physically witnessed Jesus' earthly ministry, from the beginning until his ascension
8) The church of the apostles had far fewer members than the Catholic Church
9) The church of the apostles was persecuted by both the Jews and the Roman government
10) The church of the apostles did not permit women to speak in church (I once attended a Roman Catholic mass in which a woman read from the bible, from a lectern, during service)

I'll give this a shot (do I win a prize?)
1. The church the apostles worked on was headed by Christ, not the Pope (Eph. 1:22)
2. The church the apostles labored for made all members priests, not just select men (I Peter 2:5)
3. The church the apostles helped spread held the doctrine that no man was to be called father in a spiritual sense (Matt 23:9)
4. The church the apostles served held the doctrine that beleivers were baptized, not infants (Mark 16:16)
5. The church the apostles were members of held the doctrine that Bishops were to be the husbands of one wife rather than celebate (I Tim 3)
6. The church the apostles worked in held the doctrine that only Jesus Christ can mediate for man (I TImothy 2:5)
7. The church the apostles helped to build was illumiated by the Bible only (Jude 3, II Timothy 3:16) and not by traditions (Matthew 15:9)
8. The church the apostles helped establish has no earthly headquarters (Hebrews 12:22-24)
9. The church the apostles are the foundations of (Eph 2:20) does not change (I Peter 1:23)
10. The church that the apostles completely established in their lifetime was established by the Word of God, which can be understood by men (Ephesians 3:4)

You're gonna have a tough time with this one because the listed answers are flawed. Even tougher is that there are no reasons because the Catholic Church IS the church of the Apostles.

The Holy Spirit has guided the Catholic Church to become more and more perfect from the church of the original Apostles.
The original Apostles:
+ Had no New Testament. Although some of them were busy writing the Epistles.
+ Never even conceived of the notion of Sola Scriptura. Oops, that is a Protestant thing.
+ Had little or no concept of the Holy Trinity
+ Went to synagogue or the Temple on the Sabbath
+ Celebrated the Jewish holy days
+ Followed the rules for dietary purity (kosher)
+ Did not preach against slavery
+ Did not preach for democracy
+ Did not preach against the death penalty
+ Asked Mary and the other early saints to pray for them personally since they had not died and gone to heaven yet.
+ Did not have stained glass windows. They had not been invented yet.
With love in Christ.

HERESIES IN THE CHURCH:
(1) Prayers for the dead
(2) Veneration of angels and dead saints
(3) The worship of Mary
(4) The doctrine of purgatory
(5) The Papacy is of pagan origin
(6) The 'real' Presence of Jesus during the Mass ritual
(7) Confession of sins to a priest
(8) Bible forbidden to laymen until recent years
(9) Forbidding of the 'bread' to the laity
(10) Immaculate conception of Mary, Jesus' Mother
There is much else, but nowhere in Biblical times were these things practiced. They were added down thru the years.

10. much too much wealth for jesus and his apostles blood. the apostles never had the need for money and luxury the popes have enjoyed for over 17 centuries.
9. the apostles and the early church were tortured and killed by non-believers. the catholic leaders were masters of torture and killing anyone who opposed them numbering in the millions(the inquisitions).
8. the apostles said to give money to support the poor of the church. catholic leaders said give money so that you will buy forgiveness for later sins. (indulgences) and then used the $$ to build all those massive cathedrals.
7. the apostles called no one on earth father except God. catholic priests have everyone call them father, which jesus said never to do.
6. the apostles knew that jesus took away the need for priests to be a middle man to God. we can go to God directly for everything in our lives. catholics still have not understood this and have mediators to this day both living and dead.
5. apostles called all true christians the saints. catholics think only a select group of people fit this catagory.
4. apostles believed jesus when he said "do not pray as the pagans do repeating the same words over and over again" and taught the church the same thing. catholics have the rosary in direct violation of God's command.
3. the apostles never once claimed that any man was infallible, but only God is perfect. catholics believe that the pope (a man) is infallible and call him "holy father". isn't that a title that only the almighty God should have? think about it.
2. the apostles with the help of the spirit of God rescued many peoples from darkness all over the world by sharing the gospel and their lives as well. catholic leaders plunged their world into darkness by making it forbidden for anyone not of "the cloth" to even know the bible. which was punishable by death. and many did in fact die from this. and began the dark ages of ignorance, illiteracy, superstition, and fear.
1. the apostles never once hinted in all their teachings that mary would become diety (the queen of heaven?) neither was there anything in the old testament. nor anywhere in jesus' teachings. yet in catholicism she has assumed equality with the son of God? with God himself? that people should pray to her, so she can pray to God for them? that she is the intermediary between God and man. then what is jesus? the bible SAYS that he is the mediator. again no mention of mary anywhere in the scriptures of this assumed role. well...there it is. i hope that if any catholics read this they are not offended but curious about the facts written here. because it is in accord with the question asked and it is documented truth. the apostles as recorded in the bible and catholicism as recorded in history. Love in Christ, GMR

When you review history, you can see where the Roman Catholic Religion came from. They were originally Christians who were forced into adapting the Roman "pagan" rituals into their religion.
When Jesus died , He died for all our sins. He came and was the only one who was perfect. He died so we now have access to the father through Him and only Him. The Catholics believe that they are not worthy to speak to Jesus themselves , so they seek speaking to other saints in the bible and also Jesus' mother. Mary was human and was used as a special tool to bring forth Christ. But Jesus needed to died for His mother's sins as well. Anything apart from God is sin. We sin many times unknowingly, this is why every day we need to ask Jesus for His forgiveness. No doubt Mary was a special women and we are to refer to her as being blessed and chosen for a special purpose, but we not required to pray to her instead of Jesus.
