When I was younger I remembered my dreams in great detail. They were in vivid colour and I almost always could manipulate them. They almost always made sense to me too. Sometimes during the day I would mull over a dream in my mind and at that point there were details about it that didn't make sense of course (such as flying. In the dream it was perfectly sensible for me to be able to fly, but waking up and thinking about it was another matter).
Now however - I generally only have dreams when I know that me and the Lord have something to work out. I also - on very rare occations - have prophetic dreams or answers to prayer dreams.
Dreams are very far and few between for me now. The older I get, the more grounded in Christ I get, and the more mellow I get.
blessings sweet one :)

Most nights I do remember them. Like last night I dreamed that I had lice, and I would shake my head and swish my hair around with my fingers and all the big black bugs would fall out into the sink. The next day I watched The Reaping, and in one scene they are shaving all the children's heads because there is a lice outbreak, and the bugs that were crawling around there shaved heads reminded me of lice in my dream. LOL
Purely coincidence. Just like the dream I had about my cousin having a miscarriage, and then I got a call waking me up from that dream that she had just had one. She had been having problems and I took car of her for about two weeks cause she was on bed rest so it wasn't prophetic just my biggest fear being realized.
I also had this one dream about a really good friend I had in Jr High but haven't seen since the 9th grade, I was 22 at the time. I was thinking about her when I went home for the weekend, because of the dream, and wondering how her life was going, when I was flipping through the city paper and happened upon the obituaries and saw that she had died two days ago. That was a really weird experience, not sure how to explain that, but I went to her funeral, and her mom recognized me even though I hadn't seen her in years. And she told me that Ashley (the friend) considered me her best friend even after she had moved schools. And her daughter's middle name was Emily.

I remember dreams at least 4 or 5 nights a week. The ones I remember are usually quite vivid and I've had recurring dreams throughout my life. I also learned how to control my dreams when I was a kid and I had nightmares. My dad told me how - we also used to have dreams that were almost identical (kind of weird). Though I recall a lot of dreams and can do the control my dreams thing, I don't put a lot of stock in them. They're just dreams. My husband claims he doesn't dream, I've explained to him that he does dream but just doesn't remember them. I'm Wiccan.

For the most part, I remember my dreams. Now understanding them is a whole other story! Some times I sit up at night after waking up from a dream trying to figure it out. But I don't have any luck. I have really weird dreams too.

I go through cycles. You can get into the practice of good dream recall; it's a learnable skill. Get a dream journal or (even better) a tape recorder and record your dreams in as much detail as soon as you wake up. Keep it up, and you'll find you can remember more and more details.
As for "understanding" my dreams, I think most dreams are largely meaningless. They're usually just random collections of things I observe or think about throughout the day. That's why I place no stock in "dream dictionaries"; not every little thing in your dream means it's a universal archetype. But I think recurring dreams or dreams after very emotional days are indications that our subconscious is trying to tell us something.

I keep a little journal next to my bed and jot down my dreams as I wake up so that I don't forget them. I don't put down every single detail of the drreams, just the hugh points and anything that stood out from the dream. Then, later I can go bacn and read it and meditate on the meaning of the dream. One needs to remember however, that not ALL dreams have significance and some are just dreams.

ehh, some I remember some I don't. I don't pay too much attention to them...I've got a good life, so there's nothing a dream could tell me I don't already know or have. They are neat though! Wish we had dream tivo or something! lol!

I don't remember them as often now... I think it may be a sign of depression... or maybe it just happens when people get older...
I used to have many rich, illustrious dreams... and would always remember them and ananlyze them throughout the day...
Now - not so much.
