How Can You Find the True Religion?

Are all religions pleasing to God, or is just one?

Jesus started one true Christian religion. So today there must be just one body, or group, of true worshipers of Jehovah God. (John 4:23, 24; Ephesians 4:4, 5) The Bible teaches that only a few people are on the narrow road to life.—Matthew 7:13, 14.

Why are there so many religions that claim to be Christian?

The Bible foretold that after the death of the apostles, wrong teachings and unchristian practices would slowly come into the Christian congregation. Men would draw away believers to follow them instead of Christ. (Matthew 7:15, 21-23; Acts 20:29, 30) That is why we see so many different religions that claim to be Christian. How can we identify true Christians?

How can you identify true Christians?

1- The most outstanding mark of true Christians is that they have real love among themselves. (John 13:34, 35) They are not taught to think that they are better than people of other races or skin color. Neither are they taught to hate people from other countries. (Acts 10:34, 35) So they do not share in wars. True Christians treat one another as brothers and sisters.—1 John 4:20, 21.

2- Another mark of true religion is that its members have a deep respect for the Bible. They accept it as the Word of God and believe what it says. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17) They treat God's Word as being more important than human ideas or customs. (Matthew 15:1-3, 7-9) They try to live by the Bible in their everyday life. So they do not preach one thing and then practice another.—Titus 1:15, 16.

True Christians love one another, respect the Bible, and preach about God's Kingdom

3- The true religion must also honor God's name. (Matthew 6:9) Jesus made God's name, Jehovah, known to others. True Christians must do the same. (John 17:6, 26; Romans 10:13, 14) Who are the people in your community that tell others about God's name?

4- True Christians must preach about God's Kingdom. Jesus did so. He always talked about the Kingdom. (Luke 8:1) He commanded his disciples to preach this same message in all the earth. (Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20) True Christians believe that only God's Kingdom will bring true peace and security to this earth.—Psalm 146:3-5.

5- Jesus' disciples must be no part of this wicked world. (John 17:16) They do not get involved in the world's political affairs and social controversies. They avoid the harmful conduct, practices, and attitudes that are common in the world. (James 1:27; 4:4) Can you identify a religious group in your community that has these marks of true Christianity?

The bible says what's predicted of a Christian and hence the thank you to renowned a real Christian. needless to say there must be the religion that Jesus is the son of God and that he died and rose on the third day to save us from our sins, that we are sinners and there must be an recognition that we are sinners and the guy could have repented for their sins during the dying of Jesus on the go. yet everyone can say that they suspect and function finished all of this so how do you tell a real Christian from a faux one? seem for the end results of the spirit. Galatians 5:22-23: 'however the fruit of the Spirit is love, excitement, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is not any regulation.'

How to identify true religion

What good fruit should true religion produce?—Matthew 7:17.

True Religion . . .

PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display ‘love among themselves.’ (John 13:35; 17:16; Acts 10:34, 35) Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.—1 John 3:16.

TRUSTS GOD’S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God’s Word, the Bible. (Matthew 15:6-9) Why? Because “all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight.”—2 Timothy 3:16.

STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HIGH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to ‘love their wives as their own bodies,’ helps wives to develop ‘deep respect for their husbands,’ and teaches children to ‘be obedient to their parents.’ (Ephesians 5:28, 33; 6:1) In addition, those entrusted with positions of authority must have exemplary morals.—1 Timothy 3:1-10.

Does any religion meet these standards? The book Holocaust Politics, published in 2001, says: “If more people practiced versions of what the Jehovah’s Witnesses preach and practice, the Holocaust could have been prevented and genocide would scourge the world no more.”

Indeed, in 235 lands, Jehovah’s Witnesses do not just preach the Bible’s moral standards—they live by them. We urge you to ask Jehovah’s Witnesses to help you learn what God requires of you so that you can worship him acceptably. Now is the time to act. Do not delay. The end of false religion is near!—Zephaniah 2:2, 3.

A Christian is one who has received Jesus into their lives. You would know because they would possess the qualities that Jesus possess as in loving , compassionate, honest, etc.. this would be a good indicator that they truly are children of God. Far too many times I see answers from people who claim to be a Christian but do not possess His qualities. Jesus said that not everyone who cries Lord, Lord will see the kingdom of God. When they stand before Jesus someday, Jesus will say depart from me for you don't know me. I certainly don't judge but I cringe at some of the comments I hear some times from people who call themselves believers.

Jesus said to his followers: “By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.” (John 13:35) Brotherly love is a key to being a Christian. (1 John 3:14)

The fruits of the spirit, Love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, meekness, patience, faith, ect... not necessarily in that order but look for that in others, if it's yourself that you are talking about then practice them, the first is being able to confess Jesus as Lord of all, and as savior of the world, and of their own heart.

The marks of the true Christian Church are: unity, holiness, universality and apostolicity. These essential marks can be clearly seen in the Catholic Church, and no other.
