I love my life, knowing that it is the only one I will get. I have no illusions about a better life after death and I work to improve the real world for everyone. I am more thankful of having this opportunity to experience the universe than I ever was believing in a god.

You can have all the human emotions including hope, and happiness and be a moral and ethical person without having the slightest need for a god. If more of you god-botherers spent more time being nice to people instead of threatening them with hell and damnation all the time, the world would be a better place. You worry about your religion and let me worry about mine.

Since I don't believe in the god you appear to pay lip service to, I'll answer.
I trust in (hope for) evolution of the soul culminating in eventual assumtion into the godhead which is the Universe.
Come with...it'll be fun.

lol. if your going to be a religious defender, you should read the book you so pretentiously defend. I'm not feeling up to looking up the exact verse, but i think it goes something like "you shall call no man a fool, for you may find yourself the fool as well".
and i hope for nothing.
even though i don't believe in god, i do believe in the fact that energy cant be created or destroyed.... so I've always been here, in one form or another, and i will always be here, in one form or another...

What does emotion have to do with truth?
Truth is determined by observation and logic.
As for what I hope for, I hope someday to earn my PhD, find a professorship in Computer Science or Cognitive Science, teach, learn, and research. I hope someday to earn a collar put on me by someone I love and trust to take control of most of my life.
Other than that, I let the world worry about itself, I don't see why hope plays a big role.

To have a life
To learn about things around me, enjoy peace and love with friends, help people who suffer,
and see people shed their fairy-tales-inspired hate to look at the world anew.

Health, family, friends, meaningful employment, a vacation now and then, a few good pets, a good education, time spent in nature - a nice life.

well i hope for what most people including religious people want...a better world, no more wars, peace between countries no more poverty...just because we dont believe does not mean we dont hope for the same things hope is much different to faith
